I drank a can of Miller lite last night. It was my first can of beer in 15 years or more. I'm not all that fond of beer, but felt compelled to accept when offered to me as a gift of hospitality.

If someone offered me such a shitty beer, I wouldn't see it as hospitality. I would think they had something against me, or were giving me the dregs and saving the good craft beer for themselves.

My go-to beer these days is Green Flash Road Warrior, West Coast IPA, or Palette Wrecker. Good stuff.

I also like a good Malbec now and then.

add to that a lack of sleep from sleeping in a hotel for a week, and on my headphones my brilliant sounding recording of the Glenn Branca Band from a couple of months ago where he played the Ascension Three album. (Both album and recording are as of yet unreleased, the latter may be shared soon)
Result: can't remember when the last time was that I had gotten so drunk. But drunk in a good happy way :-)
Wake up the next morning was not so good, took me about 4 hours before I was able to open my eyes without seeing cross-eyed...
