I'd say fortunately all work. If you were going to all those voluntarily, I'd be questioning what you were doing on this message board.

nicfit 07.17.2007 08:47 AM

Whichever work that is, it could be fun being to those shows.

GrungeMonkey 07.17.2007 02:24 PM

All i've got booked till the end of the year at the moment are Dead Meadow, Sonic Youth and Bloc Party...

Unfortunately all work because I have to be at them, I could have lowered the tone even further and mentioned Ms Streisand too

The smaller stages at Reading arent too bad

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 05:06 PM

there's fuck all happening this month, but i'm really looking forward to acid mothers temple and circle and might even go see both twice.

maybe i'll check out ktl next week, but i haven't really listened yet to how different they are to sunno))), burial chamber trio, etc... really had enough of those for a while.

DC/Baltimore is lacking on performances i want to see. the black cat

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 05:17 PM

I'd like to see Shonen Knife sometime, but they never seem to be touring outside Japan and USA for some reason.

Sonic Youth 37 11.14.2007 05:22 PM

I would go. When i saw them they were probably twice as loud as sunn 0))) and thrice as good and four times more intense (was that a correct english sentence? I really need to sleep!).
Highly recommended.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is Qui, maybe The Skyrider Band and Fluid.

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 05:49 PM

heh, but were they much similar in what they do? because i've seen the other two now 5 times altogether and although i loved it the first couple of times, especially the last time i got reeeaally bored with sunn.

sentence looks correct to me.

A Thousand Threads 11.14.2007 06:01 PM

well, a guy i know got really bored by sunn o))) because, like in you're case, he's seen them a few times before.
Same guy came to me after KTL played (the day after the sunn gig) with tears in his eyes and said: "That was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen and the most beautiful thing i ever will see". He's straight edge, btw.

I thought they were quite different and KTL definately were way better.

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 06:15 PM

haha... ok, well in that case, i might just go because i hate the feeling of having regret afterwards much more than that of a boring gig. thanks. :D

A Thousand Threads 11.14.2007 06:44 PM

but don't blame me if you're disappointed afterwards

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 07:09 PM

don't worry, i'll blame it on my personality.
