For some reason my posts aren't showing up. Rolling stone is streaming the entire album

hipster_bebop_junkie 03.12.2012 03:59 PM

Really tempted to go listen to that lossy stream, even though I've ordered a copy from cdjapan as well (thanks, skipvacuum!).

Waiting on a Dream kicks some serious ass. I'm so glad he didn't drop it because of the Paint it Black reference. Basically, it's just eight notes from that song, but the mood is totally different.

At the LR Band's debut gig, I took a pic of the setlist, and now I realize what became "Waiting on a Dream" was referred to then as "Paint You Green."

After a few listens...either "Xtina" or "Shouts" could be my favorite.

stu666 03.13.2012 10:18 AM

Just pre-ordered the LP from Amazon.

i'm half way thru. i like it quite a bit.

great job lee et al!! bad ass....

jon boy 03.13.2012 12:10 PM

i have only heard a few things from the album but am afraid that its not very good. off the wall is pretty bland and not much imagination, a bit like thurstons solo folk stuff.

_slavo_ 03.13.2012 12:43 PM

what jon boy said, basically.

although, it's growing on me gradually with each listen, which is a good thing. so far, "Xtina", "Shouts" and the wonderfully sparse "Hammer Blows" stand out as the more exciting ones.

jennthebenn 03.13.2012 12:51 PM

This is far superior to "Demolished Thoughts." To me. In my opinion.

Moshe 03.13.2012 12:56 PM

what jenn said.
