Really?Says who?

Toilet & Bowels 08.29.2006 03:05 PM

also it depends on how you define middle class

porkmarras 08.29.2006 03:08 PM

The only definitation i trust of middle class:
Enriched working classes.I can i argue the fuck out of anyone over this.

Toilet & Bowels 08.29.2006 03:26 PM

i see where you're coming from but i don't totally agree. do you think posh people are middle class?

porkmarras 08.29.2006 03:28 PM

No.

porkmarras 08.29.2006 03:29 PM

And posh is rich, yes, but not the same nonetheless.

wax 08.29.2006 03:31 PM

posh is to rich as chav is to poor.

Toilet & Bowels 08.29.2006 03:33 PM

posh is more to do with your family history etc. my mum is posh (according to most people), but my dad isn't. however, my mum thinks of herself as being middle class, and i agree, she's not upper class.
poshness and richness aren't synonymous by any standards.

The "chav" thing is ridiculous. It's become (wrongly, in my view) an acceptable way for people mock others. Generally it seems to be a fairly middle class thing, a way to make fun of those less well off than themselves. All snobbery sucks.

The thing that annoys me most, is that generally, on the occasions I've heard people using the term "chav" as an insult towards others it seems to stem from people who would usually go mad if someone were to insult or label them in a similar fashion. Hypocrites.

You speak words of wisdom Moronic one.

Danny Himself 08.29.2006 03:37 PM

I am from Liverpool, cradle of the chav. It's not a class thing. It's just a subconcious thing over here that the 'normal' clothes to wear are bad 1980s tracksuits and huge gleaming white sneakers. The 'normal' hairstyle is a skinhead, and the 'normal' way to speak is to be unintelligible. It's not cool to know things. Nah, as long as you've got one of those new Motorolas.
