When this came out I was going through some shit in life, and her character really inspired me to overcome it become stronger for it.

noisereductions 11.08.2010 12:35 PM

that's awesome. I love those movies. Which do you prefer? I'm actually a bigger fan of the 2nd, which I think is pretty perfect. But of course they're two sides of the same coin -- and I think they're both great.

SONIC GAIL 11.08.2010 02:10 PM

It depends on my mood. The 1st is definitly more action packed and BLOODY and the 2nd is a little slower paced, but you get more info on the story and I love the mix of so many different cultural elements and references. They all just fit together too instead of standing apart from one another. I love the battle with Daryl Hanna and Uma so fucking awesome!!

noisereductions 11.08.2010 02:23 PM

yep. Both brilliant.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 11.08.2010 02:31 PM

Kill Bill rules. I like to think of them as a singular film, as they were originally intended to be released. I wonder why they never released a special edition director's cut of both films combined. It's a very solid, and effective revenge epic. Who cares if Tarantino paid homage to a few of his favorite films throughout...WHO THE FUCK doesn't do that?

noisereductions 11.08.2010 02:45 PM

he had said he was gonna release the single film at some point. Never happened though. Oh well. But yeah, they are a singular story obviously. Love em. Big time. Guy.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 11.08.2010 02:53 PM

Remember when there was supposed to be a Sin City trilogy? :(

noisereductions 11.08.2010 03:08 PM

yeah. That would've been good.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 11.08.2010 03:11 PM

ha, yup

ni'k 11.08.2010 06:55 PM

halloween 3 - somebody had an image of it here as their sig.

fuck it was brilliant! exactly the kind of thing i wouldn't think of watching before with my snobbishness.

and what those people on imdb dont seem to be able to work out re. the timezones - THERE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN ONE FACTORY, more than one "bad guy".

LifeDistortion 11.08.2010 06:56 PM

That's the reason I don't own "Kill Bill" on DVD. If you go on Amazon they even have a listing for "Kill Bill"-The Whole Bloody Affair. Tarantino has been interviewed about it many times, he keeps saying it will happen. He said he wanted it to get a U.S. theatrical release and then a DVD release.

noisereductions 11.08.2010 07:45 PM

My copy of Kill Bill Vol 1 is the Japanese one. It's bloodier.
