Has there been any news about the accoustic album Lee recorded in Barcelona earlier this year?
I thought it was supposed to come out in or around October.
The website - http://www.elsegell.com/home/en - doesn't contain any news/update about it.

hipster_bebop_junkie 11.10.2013 10:10 PM

According to Matador Records, Chelsea Light Moving have a new limited edition cassette tape, available at their merch table during their current tour only:

Not yet. They update the infos quite quick, and I’ve not received any update through their mailing list, about this. They’ll probably get it out after the Primavera Touring Party, which includes Lee’s performances in Spain (they’re quite busy right now organizing these gigs). It would be nice that they release it this weekend, during lee’s gig in Barcelona

Thanks for the reply. I'll just wait and hope it'll come soon :)

I want both! If one of you fine concert-attendees cats can get me in on the action, that'd be mighty swingin'! I'll cover the cost of the tapes and the respective shipping via PayPal! I have a reputation as a stand-up kinda feller! I mean, I'm also a complete bum, but that's neither here nor there! Do it goddammit!

No news from this record launch date in Barcelona, last weekend (during Lee's gig). They’re probably leaving a gap after “last man…” release.

I'll inform here as soon as they release it or say something.

Please, someone here know/ have an idea, when Ecstatic Peace site will come back to normal? They are trying to recover? The site looks (forever) dead.

$200 + shipping.

Yes, it's a very nice edition, signed, card for download mp3, sticker, poster, handed paint box by kim, a lot of great details...
but $200 + shipping?!
Oh well.

halgreen 11.25.2013 04:29 PM

It must be for "true fans" only

Rob Instigator 11.25.2013 04:39 PM

fuck that high cost bullshit.

fucking rich fucks think all their fans have hundreds of bucks to throw at barely-listenable crap

_tunic_ 11.25.2013 04:40 PM

there's also the download option for $15.
Wonder if then the box is also included ...

Good point. The artists make the audio content affordably available. But it still rubs me the wrong way to say $200 dollars attached to a set like this. Mike Gira's newest live Swans set was $40, and while Y, K, and T's set has different content, it's confusing to see such a drastic increase in price.

I think that's still a tad high - on principle I never pay more than EUR/USD 10 for a download, unless it's a charity appeal and/or massive in length (think over 2 hours).

Mortte Jousimo 11.26.2013 09:19 AM

Really great looking Led Zeppelin Celebration 3lp-box cost only 50 euros. Of course there are more stuff in that YKT-box, but I think I will be content with "early in the morning". 200 dollars is just too much of it.

This is actually a 600 edition art piece - like picasso releasing a limited edition etching - probably a good investment.

Rob Instigator 11.26.2013 10:23 AM

fuck that shit. Maybe 1% of everything released increases in value. This shit is just crap fetish objects

Aaaadrpk 11.26.2013 04:43 PM

The worst thing for me, is the taxes. Above $50 comes with taxes, theres a tolerance, if I spent $90 the probability of taxes is 80%.. so $200 probability is 100% ... and it is ''directly proportional'' with the total spent (included the shipment). $200 + shipment + taxes, for me, it's a veeery expensive. Only books have ''free pass''.

Rob Instigator 11.26.2013 04:47 PM

I could buy 20 different records for that price.

Maybe it's just me, but I believe they are placing some "value" on their signatures and Kim's box painting abilities.

These will make handy stocking stuffers for the children on your Christmas list! Ha-ha! This is the sort of thing that killed the comic-book industry in the early to mid '90s!

from what i've gathered from this thread, they don't need "all their fans", just 600 of them

so what you're saying is, if you were a peasant from the congo everything would rub you the wrong way, but because your first world underemployment lets you afford $40 and not $200, then only one of the items rubs you the wrong way.

if that is the case, $200 is small potatoes in the fetish world

Fucking shit, why on earth would folks need a fucking algorithm just to find the sales tax?

Chris Lawrence 12.08.2013 08:18 PM

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, and I was too slow/stupid to grab it when I first saw it last night in Vancouver, but there's a 7" from the Spain sessions with Revolution Blues & Bushes and Briars, and I believe Lee did mention that the full album of recordings was still forthcoming.
