I just got my (brand new)car back from the shop after I basically totaled it and the insurance repaired it all with no problem whatsoever.....and now the air bag light on the dash just turned on -_-

On the contrary, where I'm at it's raining heavily and the temperature is well below average for this time of the year. It's fucking shit, and I'm worried about my Vitamin D levels. |

80' by 8:00 AM this morning and we should reach 95' later today and this is just the "warm" part of summer. Actually, summer doesn't "officially" start until next Friday, June 21. Right now I'm moving / re-shifting and cleaning out the garage......then on to the yard work. |

Next week we'll have around 100,5' or something. I'm working in a small kitchen. It's disgusting. |

Stupid video when played doesn't have sound...I have to save it to my phone to be able to hear it.

I wish people would learn how to create a zip folder properly. I hate it when I extract one and about 20 files get spread over my desktop.

IN Canada, the federal government applies a service tax to local property tax (at least for commercial property tax).

i hate that 10-year old sony wega where i'm watching the uefa confederations cup over satellite tv. i miss my plasma. dammit! life is tough in america... :_(

You can do so many things with your phone, it feels like a new found form of freedom never before experienced, right? Well, don’t hold your breath. It seems that Apple has just patented a new piece of technology which would allow certain phone features to be blocked at what they term ‘sensitive events.’ What are these events?
For now, Apple Inc. says the feature is largely being implemented for use during rock concerts, cinemas, theaters and similar venues, though admits “covert police or government operations may require complete ‘blackout’ conditions.” |
blacking out phone communications when the police are buttwhuppin on a homeless is good for Big Brother.
|
thing is though, while i love my phone, nobody put a gun to my head and forced me to buy it. when the big brother features get out of hand i'll simply buy something else and i'm sure millions of other people will do the same. supply will meet demand.
i think even if the snowden leak doesn't get to change government policy (there will be some window-dressing but nothing more) consumers are becoming wary enough of intrusive technologies that a backlash is brewing. |

Haha. You're cute. Why are you starting shit? I'm just playing with you fucker, but if you want to ram your iPhone up your ass you're free to do that too. Besides, you know I can't look in the mirror, my sheer sexiness will stop me in my tracks, I'd be stuck there all day stunned and mesmerized by the beauty like in a Hubble Deep Scan image ;)

So the German govt has evidence Windows 8 includes a method for Microsoft to gain access to your pc remotely without your knowledge. Maybe I need to look int Linux...
http://www.testosteronepit.com/home/...use-windo.html The backdoor is called “Trusted Computing,” developed and promoted by the Trusted Computing Group, founded a decade ago by the all-American tech companies AMD, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, and Wave Systems. Its core element is a chip, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), and an operating system designed for it, such as Windows 8. Trusted Computing Group has developed the specifications of how the chip and operating systems work together. Its purpose is Digital Rights Management and computer security. The system decides what software had been legally obtained and would be allowed to run on the computer, and what software, such as illegal copies or viruses and Trojans, should be disabled. The whole process would be governed by Windows, and through remote access, by Microsoft. Now there is a new set of specifications out, creatively dubbed TPM 2.0. While TPM allowed users to opt in and out, TPM 2.0 is activated by default when the computer boots up. The user cannot turn it off. Microsoft decides what software can run on the computer, and the user cannot influence it in any way. Windows governs TPM 2.0. And what Microsoft does remotely is not visible to the user. In short, users of Windows 8 with TPM 2.0 surrender control over their machines the moment they turn it on for the first time. |
