You're lucky it won't let me give you negative reputation. Garden State is one of my favorites.

I liked Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense is so-so/okay, but yeah the rest are utter bow wow dogs...from what I've seen of 'em anyway.

I could really care less, I'm just being a cunt/playful :) But really, how can you not love Natalie Portman in Garden State? hwagoidsjf. |
Quote:
ha ha ha. hm-- how can i not love her... let's see.. she plays a most annoying dorketta? yeah! that! ![]() BLECH read that article i posted above! it's wonderful... some choice quotes: If Zach Braff is the voice of my generation, can't someone please crush his larynx? What has Braff's keen ear picked up about the nation's young people? If Garden State is to be believed, they spend their days squinting and staring wistfully while slowly learning that it's OK to feel, and, like, live. When they do speak, yearbook quotes come out. For example: "Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place." If Garden State is any indication, Braff's weaknesses as a director go beyond narcissism. In the film, he piles on quirky details—a disembodied red gas pump hanging from a car, a guy in a suit of armor, a framed diploma on the ceiling—to keep viewers from scrutinizing his shallow characters and clichéd cultural observations. Thisis the kind of movie the Zuckers would have made if they used gags in the service of drama rather than screwball comedy. the gold doesn't end there. there's lots more. |
Independence Day comes immediately to mind.
|
You're right, Independence Day is a really, really bad one...okay gotta watch Imaginationland: Part III and then go out.
oh...here's comes some festivities... |
99.9% of robin williams', will smith's and jim belushi's filmographies.
|
That movie about that guy who is broke and left the girl pregnant and at the end they stay together because that is the right thing to do.
|
Probably a toss up between Jaws 17 and Friday the Thirteenth part 23. Either that or something with Chuck Norris or Jean-Claude van Damme.
As far as movies I've seen in the cinema; I once got free tickets for some shit movie with David Duchovny. Dunno what it was called, but it was shit. |
Knocked up that... that one.

wait wait-- he did the fisher king dead poets society. cadillac man wasnt too terrible-- a stupid comedy. but yeah, considering he's made innumerable cinematic turds... i'd adjust the percentage to what, 95%? :D |
Dead Poet Society, my only qualms about it, was that the guy did not have the guts to stand up to his father.

all i'm saying is give the man a stage, a microphone and half an idea of who his audience is and then you'll see the real magic happen. |
Robbin Williams doesn't annoy me as much as Eddie Murphy.

word. ohh yeah, 100% of will ferrell's and jimmy fallon's filmographies too. just watching the trailers make my skin crawl. |
Yes Will Ferrel, I think he does not choose his movies right. He just chooses whatever is thrown at him. Jimmy Fallon, I just think he is cute, but not a very good actor.
