^ if that's a Rick Roll, then not cool. If that's a real leak, then not cool.
|
No it's an actual leak... click on it!
|
no. I said "not cool". I dnt listen to leaks. Especially of an album that I'm anticipating so much. I'm not even gonna listen to that medley. I dont want to ruin it for myself.

Too bad it's a Lil' Jon mashup with Stephanie from LazyTown then.
|
really enjoy the preview. especially like the production of the distorted guitar sounds, which at times i found a little plain on the last records.
btw, did anyone notice that in the montage-mp3 it says "artist: bone thugs-n-harmony"! :-) |
Great preview, sort of what I was expecting from the clues we've got so far. Anti-Orgasm sounds like it's going to be a classic, everything about that track sounds so awesome. Sonic Life!

Can someone clear this up for me?, as a residents of the UK, if I participate in Buy Early Get Now, will I get a copy of the LP on the day of release (if not a few days before?). Basically I want this album on vinyl first thing in the morning on June 9th, I don't want to be waiting around for weeks until record shops get the vinyl copy in.

If you clicked the link on the SY main Page under the News section the medlay clip is decent fidelity, as compared to the one i found on the Newsweek website which sounds horrid... its hard to say what this album has in store, but the guitar distortion just sounds different on this one compared to the last 3 or 4 albums. kinda feel mixed about it and the vocals but this "tidbit" just scratches the surface of this album.

there's a real leak to one of the best songs on the albums. |
@greedrex
this wasn't supposed to be a subtle analysis. it just seems like the guitar sounds are more diverse and organic again. on the last albums, esp. rr, the guitar sound is rather clean all the way through and when there's distortion it's mostly squeaky and pretty thin. i love those albums, but i always wished they wouldn't be so tidy sound-wise....or, to put it better: it worked for the trilogy, but now it's time for change! |
rad

i hope there is not too much of this clean metal sound on the album. the sample sounds a bit like queens of the stonage covering yo la tengo to me. anyway, some melodies are promising.

yea yea. misleading links. we get the joke

Snoopy fighting Linus and Lucy from the film Snoopy Come Home. Totally
evocative of "Sacred Trickster." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKxXAwBRuVo |
that clip fucking rules

Ew - those previews sound wayyyyy too clean and shiny for my liking. I wanted SY to have a sound like some grubby hardcore band on this new one. That sounds like it's nicely ready for FM radio broadcast, sandwiched between Fleetwood Mac and Paul McCartney.
