Likely picking up Red Dead Redemption 2 this weekend. Hearing stellar reviews. Anyone here played it yet and have any feedback?

Toby Fox has pretty much just released Deltarune (Chapter 1), which is set in the same universe. I'm not going to say much more about it, but you can download it free (yes, free).

It's got the sense of humour you'd expect from him. I enjoyed the way that your SOUL interacts with the environment in some areas, and all the nods to the first game are pretty cool. But I'm not too fond of the way the combat works - I know it's a logical progression, but the first game was much better for it.

Has anyone tried the Call of Cthulhu video game that was released a few days ago? I've been enjoying it quite a bit. Great story.

Finished Metroid Prime yesterday, started Metroid Prime 2 today. It's been a good time :D

Rob Instigator 11.12.2018 09:15 AM

My wife got me Forza Horizon 4 for our anniversary. awesomeeeee

Dr. Eugene Felikson 11.26.2018 04:25 PM

About four hours into Grandia 2 now.I'm playing the HD re-release on Steam.

I never got around to this game when it was originally on Dreamcast. While some of the anime art, and voice acting can be less than to my tastes, I must say that something about the characters and the way they interact with one another has really resonated with me. I didn't expect to get into the story of this game on an emotional level. I'm just a big softie overall, I guess.

Also the combat is top-tier and very fun. Maybe I've been grinding a bit much but overall the game has been very easy so far. I'm hoping for a bump in challenge as I progress further into the campaign.

How's MP2 coming along? I've always wanted to get into the MP games. I've played through both Super Metroid, and Fusion but MP got annoying quickly with all the scanning. Is that stuff essential to the game?

I really wish Octopath was coming to Steam... i LOOOOVE that art style

New Smash looks sick af too... and Mario Odyssey. I just can't justify buying another console when there's still so many games on Steam I've yet to play. Not like I'd ever take advantage of the thing's portability.

EVOLghost 11.26.2018 09:53 PM

Honestly...the portability is what officially sold me on it. Now that I'm travelling more(because of family n shit), I wanted a handheld...but couldn't justify buying a Gameboy or PSP....this was perfect...and this is the first Nintendo I've had since the Gamecube...and even then...I only really had that for smash...shit...this is the first new Nintendo console I've bought. Honestly...I'm excited for Smash....I don't play it seriously, but still exciting to see everyone in it.

Finished it this weekend, i think Saturday. I don't worry too much about all the lore/log filling scanning, and focus most on the needed scanning only. Meh @ 100% logging.

I'm a good chunk of the way through Metroid Prime 3 already as well. It's fairly guided and less exploration by necessity.

Oh yeah. See, I never travel so the only time I really would use mine would either be on my TV or like the toilet or something haha. But if you stay in the city and whatnot, I couldn't imagine a better timewaster for subway transports.

Autumn sale ends at like 3pm eastern tomorrow. I'm trying so hard not to splurge.

But yeah i'm just so glad that a lot of these Japanese games are finally getting PC ports. They recently brought both Yakuza 0 and Killer7 over - Chrono Trigger too! It's nuts, man. I'd buy Street Fighter so you could kick my ass in it... but it's $40 still

Yeah, I've never been much of a completionist, but I've always wanted to get around to this trilogy. I've heard nothing but great things. You playing on a Wii?

I've got all the gear to get my Wii remote to work w/ my PC... just gotta figure out how to make my emulator detect everything.

Hmmmm...

tw2113 11.26.2018 11:12 PM

Yep, my brother picked up a wii game that has all 3 games on it. First two are adapted from the GameCube to work with Wii, 3rd one was made for Wii from the getgo.
