Spurs have had some decent chances but look off it in front of goal. Scrappy game all round.

can't see beyond Conte to Real.

Same here. It's interesting that neither Real or Barcelona have real name managers right now. I'm not even sure La Liga has the monopoly on the top players anymore, at least in terms of up and coming ones - given the likes of Messi, Suarez, Modric, etc are now all in their 30s.

Dunno if it is the pitch but both teams are making far too many mistakes.

let’s just blame the pitch and curse the culprits :D

but i thought that the silva mistake was his instinct defaulting to controlling the ball instead of just tapping it in as i think he should have

OH SPEAKING OF MISTAKES

lol lamela (so many ls)

demonrail666 10.29.2018 04:55 PM

Yeah, silly from Silva.

Neither team in top form.

Sadder news for me was Glenn Hoddle's heart attack. Growing up he was THE standout English player probably until the arrival of Gazza. And would've been a good England manager had he not let his weird new age beliefs get in the way.

Gotta agree with this. Sad news and a horrible way to die but a tad overboard with it all. Not like you can blame it on a slow news week or anything either.

The supermarket has an international aisle so there are British ones, you can get your normal tea and stuff.

Even the small differences, like a bar of chocolate or a packet of crisps was a bit different, so when you come across one you enjoy it a bit more.

The weather is similar to back home at the minute.

It was really hot and then it has gone really cold now.

What is nice is when you are here throughout the year you actually get the four seasons so it will be nice for once to get them.

Wayne Rooney on life in D.C. Imagine being stuck in a lift with him?

lol great conversationalist

demonrail666 11.02.2018 12:35 PM

Soooo, Prem this weekend.

The only game I can see being of any interest to the neutral is the much improved, post Wenger Arsenal v Liverpool (Sat 17.30 GMT)

I'll obviously be cheering on Bournemouth against Man U (Sat 12.30 GMT) and keeping my fingers crossed for West Ham against Burnley (Sat 15.00 GMT) but nothing much else to right home about this weekend.

h8kurdt 11.03.2018 05:36 AM

The leaks have started coming out

Can't help but despair about the direction football is going on. Never has the quality of football been higher, but also never has it been more corrupt.

demonrail666 11.03.2018 07:03 AM

A European Super-League is pretty much an inevitability at this point. There's just too much money in it for the owners of these elite clubs to resist it forever. The TV revenue alone would be astronomical. It'll relegate the CL to the level of of the Europa cup and the Prem will effectively return to the old 1st Division model (which I'm not averse to). But I'm not sure how viable even that'll be if traditionally big legacy clubs like Liverpool and Man Utd leave it. And leagues that REALLY rely on its big clubs, like La Liga and the Bundesliga, will be absolutely fucked.

!@#$%! 11.03.2018 07:26 AM

i’d definitely watch that

clubs like juve or barcelona or bayern or psg just have no competiton at home

would be like the champions but with more games

i mean isnt the prem a bit if a world superliga already?

demonrail666 11.03.2018 08:08 AM

The Prem is probably the least affected cos it has about 5-6 teams with a global following and not all of them will be in this Super-League. It's still bad news though.
