We've already had this discussion. The trailers look like shit -- it's easily the best mainstream movie I've seen this year. It's an awesome film -- kinda depressing actually..

They're all pretty interesting, except the last one.. if you're in the mood for 'em. I think Dead Zone ranks so highly because the atmosphere is incredible..

I have a bunch of tv shows I need to hack away at before I really focus on movies. However, I did sneak in Nightmare on Elm Street 4 last night.

Elm St. 4 is a good one, not quite NoES 3, but it's hard to compete with a masterpiece like The Dream Warriors. I once found an authentic poster for part 4 w/ a backlit frame and everything, at a flea market. But it was $40, and my pockets were nearly empty by the time I discovered it.

Also, I'm stunned that so many people seem to have liked A History of Violence. I thought it was pretty dumb. I enjoyed Spider, which I had rented at the same time, much more.

History Of Violence is pretty meh. Spider is better. I don't love either.

I thought eXistenZ was your least favourite?

Well, my ranking of the few Cronenberg movies that I've seen would be:

1. The Fly
2. A History of Violence

7. Videodrome

It has a nice atmosphere but it's not too enjoyable for me. Saying that I've not watched it in a LONG time.

Oh and TheFoxBen, I think we've had this discussion before, but Videodrome last? It's one of the greatest movies ever made!

Yeah, I see that a lot of people love Videodrome here and I totally understand why but it really bored me when I watched it... James Woods was great in it though but I don't know, I should probably give it another try.

Yeah I'll get to rewatching it sometime soon. I did like how the setting was more vast than Shivers.Yeah it did indeed take me a few watchings to really 'get' it. It's certainly one of the most resonating and trapped movie I've ever seen.

Oh, well I'll watch it again one of these days... Add to that that I saw it on TV and therefore, it was in French... Not that I don't enjoy movies when they are dubbed but it's just that original versions are always much better.

And for Kick-Ass: yeah, don't trust the trailer because at first, I thought it would suck but it didn't suck at all, it's a really fun movie.

I decided to check out Toy Story 3 today. Was worth it.
