I drove down from Boston Friday afternoon, met up with a friend and headed to the show. I haven't seen SY in a while and figured this might be my only chance this year. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Some of those sounds and views will stick with me for quite a while. Made my summer.

"Fucking Nostalgic" made a Spotify playlist of the setlist:

At last, Cotton Crown makes its return!

They really went out there with that set....

This was just sick!!!!. Can only imagine the feeling of being there. Have they bring so many old songs back at any point? (except daydream tour).
South america should get ready for a real treat, since they probally didn´t just relearn all these songs for just one show.

Now I´m really hope they make their way to Europe again so we get the chance to hear all these gems.

How did b.t.w they sound? I guess their must been a few mistakes since they have a little more complicated songs then most other bands around :)

The game of toss with the paper airplanes Lee was having looked fun.

The sound was good as I moved on three occasion. First because my niece couldn't see she's all of 5 ft. Second because we had a lovely couple sucking face the entire time and third because this old man was breaking down and needed to sit on the picnic tables. My favorite show is still Valentine's day at the Academy of Music in North Hampton where they put on a benefit for Coco's
school. The sound was better and they played longer. Nothing wrong with show other than guessing wrong on the end. ;^(

The big debate there is: was this better than the Prospect Park gig? I
was at both, and as mouth-droppingly great as the PP gig was, the show
Friday resonated more with me. Better setlist, better crowd where I was
at (I like being at or near the front, where people are less likely to be
texting/talking/imitating "The Thinker"), sound in the venue about the
same, the venue itself much more aesthetically appealing...just my thoughts. I'll have a full review up mid-week.

Thanks Jenn.

To those that were there (because i don't see a video of this yet) when they did "Ghost Bitch" did Lee do the feedback part courtesy of an acoustic guitar just like back in '85-'86?

Yessir.

EVOLghost 08.17.2011 09:47 AM

Lee violenty was heaving the body of the acoustic up and down while emitting amazing feedback during Ghost Bitch.

I really wish this would get an offcial release. I know its asking for much, but the word is that that it was such a great show.
