We def had phases. The pre-this forum of course. But even here there were eras of heavy posters that haven't been around forever. Satana, and Zombot and davesnotdead and FloSlo and Hayden and and and um is viewtiful still around? So many folks come and gone. But this is always a sort of interesting place for me.

the quality of the music thats posted here is and always has been mixed. you always have to wade through swamps of mainstream indie bilge and you will always get a million times more attention paid to people we should be ignoring eg. the scott weiland thread we have right now. the idea that we would still talk about stp and and b0lly cockburn or whatever he's called, the idea that these people are worth discussing is so sick and depressing.

there are cracks of light through these monolithic slabs of shit, dj rick used to post here, you still occasionally get the real stuff. i dont listen to anything other than vaporwave, old shoegaze and modern composition anymore and i dont care enough to post about it here.

Man, you give NR a lot of crap. What's the deal exactly? His top 10 albums of 2015 didn't strike you as edgy or exciting enough? Your "list" was a pitchfork article! It named some damn good records, but it left out most of the best electronic music of the year. Hell, it wasn't even a list!

I like your posts, always have. But I think you have a definite tendency to be a snotty little shit about music, and that's such a stale schtick at this point.

(That said, if one more blog or zine thoughtlessly throws To Pimp a Butterfly at the top of the heap, I think I'm going to go into a coma.)

I would absolutely love it if there was more high-quality, experimental, noisey ass feedback drenched post-punk coming out. In the past three years, there's only been a handful of truly memorable noise rock releases by new/newish artists (Black Bug, Dub Thompson, Viet Cong, Big Ups), and a even fewer real mindfuckers from established artists (Ben Frost, Fuck Buttons)...

I would love to hear more. I'd love for the next generation of sonic terrorists to carry guitars instead of, or in addition to synths and shit.

I hope we do get a resurgence of Sonic Youth-inspired bands, or bands inspired by bands inspired by Sonic Youth. Whatever. I'd welcome it with open arms.

Nope.
It is mastered and tested, but before putting it out ourselves like the last 2, I thought maybe I would try and see if someone else was interested in releasing it for us.Just sent acetates to a couple select labels. If no one bites, we'll go ahead pretty soon.

I did break down and put the last one up for streaming/ DL on bandcamp.
The vinyl has been sold out forever, do what the hell...

I hope one of those labels "bite" for you......however it works out, please drop a note here to let us know!
