Misanthropy is short sighted and either egotistical or self-hating. Either way I don't like people judging en masse with limited evidence.

i wanna respond to this, but now's not good. i have a sense you have both the intuitive gut sense that many academics lack combined with somehow walking the walk through the tower. but i think it is both (kali's downer plus the other half of that, which would simply be the opposite)

I was going to say that in a sense we are supposed to destroy ourselves while at the same time perpetuating ourselves / moving forward. I know how irritated true scholars can get when discussing things with those that aren't hip to the lingo, but there it is.
