my wife is about 35% non-white, which according to Klan guidelines, makes her 100% soulless animal.

and yes, a good portion of that non-whiteness is Choctaw.

floatingslowly 02.05.2010 01:30 PM

ps: my non-white wife is so white that she glows in the dark.

goth =/= honkymofo

please don't tell her I said this. she'll just start to hate herself (or in the least make jokes about herself that are in poor taste).

knox 02.05.2010 01:32 PM

my feet glow in the dark. thats how i go to the kitchen at night for water.
but being white has nothing to do with being white.

floatingslowly 02.05.2010 01:36 PM

exactly. being white is more about an inability to maintain rhythm.

knox 02.05.2010 02:58 PM

god this is a shitty day

Derek 02.05.2010 03:18 PM

Yeah, quite a depressing day. I got up early again and went swimming with some buddies and since then I've not been doing anything at all. I was supposed to hang out with my girlfriend but she's not answering either of her phones. Now for me this would be a thing to worry about as she always has a phone on her when she's outside... and failing that she's always in her house but there's no reply at her landline. That's strange. I need to ask her to get dropped off at my house tomorrow for when we go to my sister's birthday party. So yeah, I've basically been sitting doing nothing... read about 30 pages of JG Ballard's Crash but kept getting interrupted and it made me lose concentration in it. I've downloaded about 20 albums today already and I bet I won't get through all the albums I've downloaded in the next few weeks as my slsk has been running like crazy recently. I also made a pledge to buy more music but where the hell will I get money from? I actually got a job working at a football stadium selling food but quit after one shift as football fans are (generally) nasty moronic drunks. Being called an idiot by the very definition of idiocy and having money thrown at me is not worth the shitty £5 an hour I would get from working there. I also went to a recruitment day at the local cinema but the chances of me getting the 15 available positions there is impossible considering that among the 300 people there, most of them were older and had further education. The people that interviewed everyone were so fake though, with their cleancut suits and forced smile... they work at the local CINEMA, it's not exactly a place I'd want to be when I'm 40. But whatever, life isn't bad.

My mood however is elevated by listening to Andy Robbins
http://www.myspace.com/andyrobbinsandyrobbinstrio

I posted a thread on him but in usual SYG no one gave a shit.

!@#$%! 02.05.2010 03:23 PM

my day started shitty and i was posting here

then i went for a run and i'm feeling much better

i guess there's a lesson for me there, but i fail to understand it

Derek 02.05.2010 03:30 PM

This place could make you feel worse or better that's for sure. It's depleting my boredom right now though.

floatingslowly 02.05.2010 03:33 PM

you people are depressing me.

running. on a Friday, no less.

knox 02.05.2010 03:34 PM

Derek. I know the situation is hard at the moment but cheer up. Being older with further education is what usually stops me from working. And don't start feeling guilty for not buying music, you should feel guilty for not listening to it.

Haha yeah thanks, was just letting off some steam. Are you not a teacher though?

knox 02.05.2010 03:43 PM

tutor/translator.

but this whole freelance work thing can really drive someone insane, anxiety-wise.

Derek 02.05.2010 03:46 PM

Ah yeah, it's a risk. I'm actually thinking about becoming a teacher, an English one specifically. I get great marks in English (and even greater marks in Modern Studies but I don't feel like going into politics). But who knows what will happen.

Derek 02.05.2010 03:48 PM

And it seems that a lot of teachers can't get work because there are no spaces for them... so they are reserved as substitute teachers which isn't ideal considering their main purpose is to just supervise pupils, not teach anything. Though apparently my generation is the most ideal generation to become teachers, since when I have further qualifications all of the 'baby boomers' will have retired.

knox 02.05.2010 04:10 PM

You mean in school or English as a foreign language?

Not here in LA..

I've been looking for a substitute position for 8 months now.. there are literally a thousand times more full-time teaching positions open then there are openings on the sub-pools :( (I troll EdJoin.org and the local district websites more than I do SYG!!)

you too? I thought I was the only one who felt overwhelmingly uncomfortable when surrounded.. lucky for me my family mixes it up so all my in-laws, step-relatives, and family friends are of the non-Caucasian persuasion.. nothing worse then spending your holidays with folks like those who appear on Step by Step..

Its not that white people have an inability to maintain rhythm, its that they have no desire to learn to have any rhythm.. If white folks choose to, they can easily develop rhythm.. however white culture is indifferent to rhythm, its a rather arrhythmic culture ;)

knox 02.05.2010 04:23 PM

yeah, except that if theres anything more irritating than whitepeople is whitepeople trying to act nonwhite.
