yeah thats quite unsettling, not the same mood of the one i remember though, it was very immersive and dark. I *think* its a fairly close up portrait. But yeah, any suggestions welcome, ive enjoyed this thread as i know sod all about painting

maggie hambling did some close up portraits of her mother on her deathbed, i can't find any pcitures on the web though
