I guess the only option then would be to get them converted professionally - though I can see the downsides: a) not cheap, and b) always the chance of some idiot ruining the original film stock.

Can you two piss off somewhere else so my post doesn't get lost in the bullshit? (no offence, I love you both)

Cheers.

Do you have pets girlgun? They are a good way of explaining the life cycle to a child. And even if you haven't, use animals as an example.

They're good because they don't live too long (you know what I mean) and because all of the feelings they will experience when a pet dies are the same they will experience when a loved one dies. And here's hoping you die before they do (you know what I mean).

My daughter is 4 1/2 and has already asked about death. Luckily at that age they take things in their stride. But it's still heartbreaking when you try to explain death to a child and they say "I don't want to die". It'sthen that you're tempted to start lying about there being a heaven!

Go outside, find some ants. Point and say, "Alive." Stomp on them, step back, and say, "Dead." Pause, allow him to absorb the situation. Then ask, "Any questions."

out cats live forever. however, about a year and a half ago we had to put one to sleep (see was 22 (or so?)). that would have been a good time, however he NEVER saw the cat and didn't even notice that she was gone for 6 months!

I think the timing of gg's uncle's demise worked out well for us however (yeah...that sounds morbid, even coming from me...but yeah).

for grimgun, thank you for yr reply. yr one of the few here with the experience to speak.
