yeah, we will be the ones laughing when he is uncontrollably crapping in an alley somewhere.

sarramkrop 06.11.2007 03:13 PM

You will be, not me. I don't give a toss.

screamingskull 06.11.2007 03:14 PM

sarramkrop 06.11.2007 03:18 PM

Well, it didn't seem that way from your previous posts on this thread. Nevermind, you seem like a nice girl.

i will laugh at anything funny, just not people boasting about their drug use, that is not kool or funny.

Crikey, don't worry. I won't be shitting uncontrollably in an alley as a result of my weekend antics unless Rabaiottis served me up a piece of rotten fish that is festering in my gut, waiting to give me scromboid poisoning.

Seriously, this weekend I went to the seaside, had an ice cream on the pier...had a picnic in the park and then went to the pub where I had a cup of tea and about THREE SIPS OF BEER...but no more, I promise.

I'd thought most people who post here regularly might have deduced that heavy drug use is the last thing I would engage in on a weekend. In the week however...(NOTE: JOKE)

sonicl 06.12.2007 02:55 AM

Hey, Iain, you still owe me twenty quid for that smack I got for you at ATP.

Tokolosh 06.12.2007 03:14 AM

It was nice to see footage of Black Sabbath in their infancy.

Torn Curtain 06.12.2007 04:18 AM

I watched part II yesterday, I really liked it. Is early Genesis worth a listen by the way (I'm not really into prog-rock, except for Pink Floyd and King Crimson) ? Phil Collins was indeed awesome on the drums!

Definitely. Selling England by the Pound is a gorgeous album. Get it. Perfect for the summer.

Thanks!

damn stadium rock...

GrungeMonkey 06.16.2007 03:10 PM

I love Genesis. But only their singles. Because I think they're brilliant in a funny kind of way, like The Final Countdown or The Eye Of The Tiger. Mama, Invisible Touch - genius. I could never actually like them though. Too proggy. Boring as fuck. But I love to sing along to the greatest hits CD. So there you go. Thats my opinion on Genesis.

Just watched the Metal one. Better than I thought it might be but there's a sense that the series' content is dictated by who they can interview - given that a quarter of the programme was dedicated to the 80s LA metal scene, there was absolutely no mention of Guns N Roses, at ALL.

The Sabbath stuff was the most boring for me considering it's all been said before in countless other documentaries. If I have to hear the shoe on a string story one more time ...

hah??? where? was it a rerun?

sonicl 06.17.2007 05:36 AM

The "Stadium Rock" one was as dull as ditchwater, but that was only to be expected.

So far as I can remember, the series has managed to mention neither the Rolling Stones nor Led Zeppelin. Regardless of your feelings about either band, it seems to be rather remiss to not even mention them in passing.

screamingskull 06.17.2007 05:57 AM

the stones were mentioned in the hendrix one. they showed footage of them at Altamont

Helen: your father went to one of the most popular festivals of the decade
Quinn: Woodstock?
Jake: Altamont, terrible tragedy, but i demanded my money back and i got it.
Daria: wasn't Altamont free?
Jake: thats the same line they tried to use on me.
