I thought he was going to be good when they started playing the first song. It was pretty good. Then he started talking. The rest of the songs were kind of lame. What pissed me off the most was that he would talk and make stupid jokes in between the songs for minutes. He was wasting time when he should not have been since he arrived late. He played until about 10:00 when his set was supposed to end at 9:30 because he was late.I think SY's set might have even been cut short since DJ shadow had to go on after them all because this dumbass was late and wouldn't shut up.

On top of that, if SY had started earlier, when they were supposed to, I wouldn't have gotten sick and had to leave my great spot to go and get water. I don't know what it is, it might be the excitement, but whenever I go to shows and the main band starts playing, I feel great and my legs and back don't hurt anymore from standing for so long.

I was bummed last night, watching the Arcade Fire set, realizing I'd missed the Youth... but the Fire were amazing. So stoked to see them in May!!!

They're playing at the 13th Annual Olympia Experimental Music Festival on 6/23, which is the night I did the booking for. Better People, also from Athens are playing the same night.

Disco 2000 was pretty big for them also. Great tune.

of montreal have to be the campest looking band i've ever saw who actually have some tunes to back it up.

Of Montreal are amazing, Hissing Fauna is one of my favorite records of 2007 so far. I saw them when they came to Toronto, and the gig was amazing. Im rubbish at describing music/concerts, but it was something like being hit with a flower.

I am little disappointed in Kevin Barnes Coachella outfit though, he did much better in Toronto.

Good news everybody! Sonic youth's set at Coachella isn't deleted forever and it isn't a trap (i hope not!). I found a torrent for the complete day that sonic youth played including their performance! The bands before are Brother Ali, The Noisettes, Tokyo Police Club, Tilly & the Wall, of Montreal, Rufus Wainright, Arctic Monkeys & Stephen Marley featuring Jr Gong. After Sonic is Bjork. The torrent is on demonoid so you have to have a membership or else register for free with your email which is only possible at the end of the month unfortunately. I'm pretty sure it will show up on another torrent site with open registration soon enough though. Once i finish downloading it i will try to figure out a way to save sonic youth's part on it's own and then i will share it here if i'm successful. If I can't do it, I'm sure someone else knows how. The DVD is 3.3 gb in size. You have to download the whole show to get sonic youth's part but i'm definitely all over it!

here is the link: http://www.demonoid.com/files/detail...rel=1178151610

also their are some great crowd videos on youtube, specifically:
