The only Warhol I've seen in person was a 16 frame blue Marylin at The Modern in Ft. Worth, TX.

That Andy Warhol Replicator won't give my computer some kind of uber-virus, will it?

I'm a bit paranoid about those these days.

Cantankerous 03.14.2007 10:30 PM

i have a bit of a love/hate thing with warhol. i appreciate that he was at the forefront of an entire scene, but i don't really care for pop art.
the factory was really fucking cool though.

i mean...he managed the VU. people try and make these associates bleh bleh bleh...he just managed em.

i think he played a tamborine or some shit a few times...who cares.

he liked the VU cause they were young and seemed dangerous blah blah blah...but when he gets stabbed he called it quits...i mean, i cant really blame the dude...but thats despite the point.

he didn't get stabbed, he got shot, dumbass. there's even a movie about it called "I shot andy warhol", with Donovan (poor man's bob dylan) in it playing gerard malanga. i think michael imperioli from the sopranos is in it too.

SynthethicalY 03.15.2007 01:22 AM

I think he moved on, because he was bored with it. I think all artist have ADD.

see man, that's the reason why college is good. you need to go to college. for this you get a... hm.. a D minus, ok?

SynthethicalY 03.15.2007 01:37 AM

Art history is just as important as music history. If it wasn't for art, you would not have all these graphic advances we are heading for.

why do you think we have a lot of educated idiots running amok in the united states?

i quit school over a year ago and got a GED this past fall. i don't have time to waste on shit i already know.

SynthethicalY 03.15.2007 01:42 AM

Yes there are smart people who dropped out. And my brother is one of them. Where is he now in Iraq. But just because you are happy now, doesn't mean you will last like that for awhile. I've become somewhat of a realist, and truth be told they will have lots of trouble making ends meet later on.Unless they are the few who will get lucked out.

okaye d minus.

im still firmly convinced im far less music history illiterate than mot.

art history i could give a fuck less about.

no it has to do with not only false facts but the ineffectual presentation of your argument.

english 101 should take care of some of that, but i would suggest some advanced compositon.

of course george bush can be president, but that was his daddy's doing

wholl have the best memories of their youth at 47? 50? 60?

id much rather be happy at 23 than 47. least at 47 ill have tons of great memories to ponder.

but either way...ill most likely end up in school. probally get some 2 year "genreal business managment" certificate...nothing serious.

sure, but you still can't write.

i gotta log off this shit & do some work!! ADIOS PENDEREXES.

SynthethicalY 03.15.2007 01:54 AM

I won't debate you any longer. Because you already have your mind set on this. And it is pointless to persuade you to my way of thinking. So let's agree to disagree.

Cantankerous 03.15.2007 01:55 AM

i won't even agree to disagree. i'm going to go yank all my records out of the boxes and...yeah. activities involving glazed donuts.

SUCKAS.

sure, but by worthy arguments.

we can probably all agree that opinions are like assholes, but while some are packaged like this:

which one would you rather *cough* listen to?

sarramkrop 03.15.2007 02:57 AM

Anyway, what's the point of arguing about some silly things like this?Say what you like about Warhol and the people who used to hang around at the factory, but at least they didn't spend the whole time creating pointless arguments on the internet and got on with doing stuff.

demonrail666 03.15.2007 04:51 AM

(S)way, you've got to get beyond this whole ultra-defensive "I don't want to know...", "I'll just end up..." shit.

So you don't like Warhol or the idea of college, so what? I don't like sweetcorn, but I don't use that fact to prop up an increasingly arrogant, mis-informed and self-obsessed world-view.

sarramkrop 03.15.2007 04:57 AM

Well said. One thing is discussing things but just acting like a negative creep is ultimately depressing.
