OMG! I'm repulsed yet facinated! This little number looks like one of those soft-sculpture dolls that were so popular in the '80's!

When I first lived off campus with my friends, they all worked at the same restaurant which specialized a bit in wine. Sometimes they would come home with an unfinished bottle of their better stuff and would have me try it. There we were, college guys playing Halo while drinking expensive wine. T'was heaven.

Honestly, this Octoberfest beer would be great with some brie.

I had some of that Apricot St-Ambroise beer and Griffin Rousse at the AIDS Wolf / Grand Trine / Futensil show tonight and have to say both are wicked. The apricot is mild enough not to be categorized as apricot juice with alcohol, but just enough to taste a hint of apricot through the beer. They're also making a pumpkin flavor, it seems good.

Naturally. There's nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't drink gin or whiskey that came in a plastic bottle. Vodka, however, I have no problem with.

Years ago, my brother and I openly commented upon the shame of the plastic vodka bottle which was in display at our neighborhood grocery until a rather sordid-looking fellow brushed past us both and picked up a liter. It was embarrassing, hilarious, depressing all wrap into one moment. That shit is the best.

Heineken is crap! Look at the ratings it gets on places like Rate Beer and Beer Advocate. It's considered among the lowest of the low. It's all chemical.

Myself, I stocked up a bit on beer this weekend. I HIGHLY recommend y'all go try a couple of really tasty pumpkin ales: Dogfish Head's Punkin' Ale and Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin Ale. The latter is sooo aromatic and yummy.

Right now in the fridge I have a sixer each of Stone IPA and Victory's Hop Devil. I am thinking of adding another sixer, this one of Victory's Hop Wallop. I have to make these last til next pay day though.

Try a wheat beer. Wits or Hefeweizens. New Belgium makes a popular wit beer. I'm not a huge fan but you'd probably like them. Or a decent German pilsner like Bitburger.

I've just come through a long wine phase. I've decided for fall/winter I mostly like beer better. There are just so many tasty seasonals.
