Had a Nature Valley almond bar for breakfast...no Clif bars on hand, and a wrap for lunch from the salad place...sante fe style with lettuce, tomato, ranch, chicken and pepper jack. again, no dinner yet as i had a glass of green tea a couple of hours ago & i'm not hungry.

MellySingsDoom 09.17.2008 07:21 PM

I had feesh (cod fillet) and steamed carrots for dinner tonight. Mmmmmm.

girlgun 09.17.2008 07:22 PM

let's see...

yesterday i had a ham sandwich and baked lays for lunch, and for dinner i had a lean cuisine pizza and some cucumber salad.

today i had nothing for lunch, except 4 peanut m&ms and 3 hot tamales and for dinner i had a "smart ones" santa fe rice and beans. i'm starving so i'm currently eating some baked ruffles and dipping them in fat free ranch. gag.

this is the shit i eat.

MellySingsDoom 09.17.2008 07:23 PM

Hi there girlgun! How's tricks with ya?

What are "baked lays", out of interest?

terriblecanyons 09.17.2008 07:24 PM

Baked lays mmmmmmmmmm.
They're just chips (crisps) baked instead of fried.
Fried? Is that right?

hey melly! what's new with you?!?!

terrible has it right. baked and not fried potato "crisps". baked ruffles are better than baked lays. (ruffles and lays are brand names)

MellySingsDoom 09.17.2008 07:37 PM

Mmm crisps......*drools*

All cool over here, gg. I've started recording again after a lay off of a couple of weeks (am doing a top secret thing with a couple of boardies here....remember that PM I sent to some of you a couple of weeks back?), and had a great time in Brighton 2 weekends ago at a music festival weekend, which was headlined by Thurston. Have also gone back to Czech classes, and am beginning to save up the monies for a visit to NYC next year (most likely in Sept/Oct). So things are good! Have you been up to much yourself lately?

Cantankerous 09.17.2008 07:44 PM

Symptoms

OAS sufferers may have a number of reactions that usually occur very rapidly, within minutes of eating a trigger food. The most common reaction is an itching or burning sensation in the lips, mouth, and/or pharynx. Sometimes other reactions can be triggered in the eyes, nose, and skin. Swelling of the lips, tongue, and uvula and a sensation of tightness in the throat may be observed. Seldom it can result in anaphylaxis.[2] If a sufferer swallows the food, there is a good chance that there will be a reaction later in the gastrointestinal tract. Vomiting, diarrhea, severe indigestion, or cramps may occur.[3]

Yeeeeech!

my only news is that i bought a new car ... new to me. it's used. hopefully people won't run into me.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 09.17.2008 07:56 PM

the secret is to eat food that are not dense. the denser the food, the worse it is for your health.

Yeah, I'm back to struggling with the Czech, but it is much fun.

Re your car: Ah, just run the damn fools over a la "Death Race 2000". What's good enough for David Carradine is good enough for you, gg :D:

there is no secret. everyone's different. what's beneficial for one person could kill the person sitting next to them.

MellySingsDoom 09.17.2008 08:04 PM

The next time a vegan gets in my face about being an omnivore, I'm going to find the nearest steakhouse, order a steak tartare, and gobble the damn thing up, with my bare hands if necessary.

YOU HEAR ME CHRISSIE HYNDE?

no wonder you're thin! most of that is really low in fat... ('cept the m&ms of course).

EMMAh 09.17.2008 08:36 PM

Nah, I hardly eat any of those things regularly.

For the most part I'll just shove whatever I come across into my mouth as long as it's not meat haha. I also tend to eat until I look like I'm pregnant (I've actually been planning to take a picture for a laugh)

EDIT: I wrote house instead of mouth, hahaha what the fuck.

girlgun 09.17.2008 08:37 PM

aahhh yes. i remember reading you're a big fan of eggs!

eggs are good.

EMMAh 09.17.2008 08:40 PM

The tastiest ;)

I want Trinidad and Tobago eggs though, those chickens popped out some mighty delicious treats.

bullshit, we are all human beings, and we all require some of the same basic necessities for life, all personal tastes aside. I for example do not many vegetables [aside from Ethiopian food] for the same reasons you do not like fruit, but regardless of my personal preferences, vegetables contain essential enzymes, proteins, oils, nutrients, and fiber which ALL human bodies need for optimum health, and some food allergies aside, will hurt no one! [and further, some theory suggests that food allergies are just the result of a long term imbalance in diet to begin with and could be remedied naturally] This is even more so with fresh, whole fruit, because generally we cook vegetables and denature the enzymes and oils and break up the fiber and nutrients..

Cantankerous 09.17.2008 09:19 PM

i still don't care what you say.

I never expected you too, but regardless of what my opinion is, fruits and vegetables are essential for health, for this is above my opinion, it is commonly accepted fact!

Cantankerous 09.17.2008 09:29 PM

i don't accept it as fact. general rule of thumb, maybe yes. there are people who abuse the hell out of their bodies and live very long lives with few to no medical problems.

chairman of the bored 09.17.2008 09:43 PM

you know whats really good? tempeh, avocado, cheddar cheese, and some hummus on some kind of incredible bread toasted in a pan with a wee bit of butter...a side of broccoli sauteed with roasted almonds and parmesan...some shiraz

EMMAh 09.17.2008 09:55 PM

I dunno what tempeh is, but that rest of that sounds delicious!

Kallisti23chaos 09.18.2008 01:38 AM

fresh corn in the summer and assorted apples in the fall.

ploesj 09.18.2008 04:11 AM

i'm off now to go get my muesli-yoghurt-apple breakfast. bye!

pantophobia 10.10.2008 06:14 PM

i made red curry chicken with curry rice (would have done regular white rice but there was bugs in the box)

take some coconut milk, like can full, and a scoop of red curry paste and simmer, i mixed in some chopped carrots and pineapple then put some chopped up chicken pre cooked in and served with a side of rice

Sonic Youth 37 10.10.2008 06:21 PM

Lots of cheese pizza, orange tic-tacs, Coca-Cola, and hot chocolate. Seriously, these compose about 85% of my diet.
