you got it, i haven't tried that one, i'm a broke ass poor person. thanks for the good wishes, but as i said like three pages ago, i don't get hangovers, yesterday was no different. |
that shit is unreally expensive, probably geared towards rich suckers-- you're talking $200 a bottle, to me that means 10 bottles of good rum.
|
exactly, it's kinda pointless, i wouldn't really give a hobo's crap if it was j&b (although that's a very tasty whiskey for how cheap it is), it wouldn't make a difference.
as i told you, i love this guy, but he has that tendency to brag. |
I want to get drunk, so I can have bragging rights over a hang over.
|
wtf wait your barfday when??

|
oh shit ha
you'll have the oldest thread ever anyway its past midnight here i gotta go |
hahahahaha, thank you!
yeah, i'm off for the day too. |
My preference is heavy gravity beers, beers that are like meals, full of taste and ABV (8 and above). They're a little harder to find in these parts but some good ones that seem usually available include Flying Dog's Double Dog Pale Ale, Horn Dog Barley Wine, and Imperial Stout. The Unibroue stuff are good examples of heavy Belgian styles, too. Currently I'm liking their Maudite brew, which is supposedly in the Belgian strong ale style but tastes to me more like a dubbel.
I see no sense in drinking regular beers anymore. |
i think i'm going to have a nice mateus rosé w/ lunch today.
|
cantankerous' favorite beer:
guinness bass heineken duvel (gmku you'd probably like this, it has like 9% ABV and i think it is belgian as well) newcastle stella (aka wifebeater) xingu grolsch |
cankers if you get a chance to go to dc after you're a minor no more visit the brickskeller & expand your horizons, you wont regret your visit.
|
it doesn't matter that i'm not of drinking age, not that i would ever find myself in DC.
|
i meant cos you got good taste but that' a bit of a newbie list, supermarket beer, and i'm sure given the proper opportunities for development you could be a#1 in everything you do including beer lists. :P
but really, when youre 21, try the brickskeller. beers from all over the world. & dont shit on my adoptive hometown. dc offers many opportunities for joy. |
dude, i don't have time to get beer from anywhere but the supermarket. duvel is not supermarket beer. xingu is not supermarket beer.
|
this weekend was fun
weekend coming up should be twice as fun looking forward to it |
yes yes. now put the brickskeller on your future TO DO list, together with conquering the world and having your own 24-hour reality channel. beer from all over the world. i know you'll appreciate it.
|

Are you claiming that it's impressive or unimpressive? The sentence is a little ambiguous. Have a good sleep though |
Rather than suggesting beers from around the world, I would recommend people try the great "micro" brews made right here in the good old USA. One has to look a little for them--which means going to more of a beer specialty store or a really good supermarket. The best companies, I think, are Rogue, Three Floyds, and Flying Dog, but there are many many more that make great ales in local areas that don't get wide distribution. This beer is almost always more flavorful and adventurous than anything you'll find from the big names, even the foreign ones. These small companies take bigger chances, doing "big" beers like double IPAs or even just very bold takes on the usual styles.
