i'm currently more addicted to Supreme Clientele than it's healthy.

Ghost is easily my fav Wu member, i've decided. he is the most emotional and has the best discog.
fuck that, he's one of my fav artists ever, period.

noisereductions 04.20.2012 02:58 PM

Ghost is not only my favorite Wu member, he's one of my absolute favorite MC's of all time.

y'konw what's the best "Ghost crying" song? "Can't Go To Sleep." Man, The W is such an amazing album. I feel like it's really slept on but, I love The W cuz it sounds really low-fi and rushed and weird at parts.

i've never heard the full album, but "Can't Go to Sleep" is amazing. that Isaac Hayes sample!!
i'll give it a listen tomorrow. you made me check out Pretty Toney and i fell in love, so now i have to.

awe dude I think you'll totally appreciate The W. When it first came out I didn't really get it. I felt like it was such a letdown after Enter and Forever. But over the years it's become one of my favorite Wu albums. Probably the one I go to more than any other now.

I hate to say Iron Man, but that one really is filled with the most classics. That said, a case could be made for that album essentially being a group effort/RZA's vision.. so in that spirit, I'm sort of changing my answer to Fishscale.
Fishscale was one of the first hip hop albums I ever bought, I was in middle school and I barely knew what he was talking about. Parts of it were sort of um... abrasive to me, but I was laughing and generally enthralled the whole way through. I put it back on my shelf and forgot about it, as I pretty much ditched hip hop for punk. Years later, I found out I was an idiot.
