I think by now I could sleep just reading the endless list of "prescriptions" you guys gave me, ha ha ! :) thank you all (even if I think this thread became "more" than just a list of suggestions for me).

Hey, nicfit... Do I win a prize for suggesting something that worked?

MellySingsDoom 07.17.2007 09:00 AM

No Pussyfooting by Fripp and Eno for me - snoozetastic. Oh, and "Metal Machine Music" (he said lying).

eat a bunch of turkey! the tryptophan does me in every time. i think i am especially sensitive to it. i can imagine a scenario in which i become a turkey junky, addicted to it's soporific effects, reducing my lifestyle to napping, buying turkey, running weird scams over the phone (while i eat turkey sandwiches) to pay for more turkey...

This thread's purpose is long dead, but I don't want to post this on the irrevelant thread.
I know it sounds weird, but Dark Side of the Moon not only puts me to sleep, but I have friends who say the same thing.
That, and Flaming Lips's Soft Bulletin is normally what I have playing every night before I go to bed. So either it's good for sleeping or I've trained myself to get sleepy when I hear it.

demonrail666 08.01.2008 05:58 AM

Nothing sends me to sleep right now. I've tried everything but my current insomnia is seemingly unconquerable.

Death & the Maiden 08.01.2008 06:06 AM

I can fall asleep to any music I own (including Einstuerzende Neubauten, The Birthday Party, black metal), except for The Cure's Pornography. There's something about that album that prevents me from falling asleep.
