thanks to everone who put up with my opinionated rantings before sy! i was the guy with curly hair and the thurston atp shirt! yet again, pre sy gigs are a great place to meet new cool people and be as anally retentive about music as you can possibly be..........
if my "china girl" is on here..................... its still an awful song!!! purple bumble bee, there were many confusion shirts but are you the melvins fan/ pearl jam hater we were talking too? |
I sort of knew it would be good when Thurston said the word "jamarooni."
|
i was the dude crowd surfing in the red sonic youth nurse t-shirt.
oh the fun times. |
ha! kick me in the head will ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Silver Rocket and 'Cross The Breeze. It was great to finally hear those songs live, Daydream Nation being my favourite lp from the Youth.
|
ending with silver rocket told me that it was time to go home. the perfect ending to a near-perfect festival
|
oh yeah, thanks to whoever donated 2 marlboro lights to us just before sy played, very appreciative!!!!!!!!
|
thank god they were light :P
|
glad you have enjoyed.
was sound good? links, pictures? I just saw in news, somebody died at EP. |
Yeah, a 23 year old guy collapsed and died at the Chemical Brothers set, sad news.
The sound wasn't bad but I'm not a big fan of main stages. I wouldn't exactly say that Sonic Youth were noisy or anything. A bit more volume would have been nice. Quote:

the lack of volume was very dissapointing especially after seeing the fall and !!! who were fucking loud out. sy should have been in the electric arena tent, that would have made a great gig into an astonishing one!
rich, i forgot to bring my camera, i would have got some great shots. the girl beside me (my china girl) got some quality photos but i dont think she is a memebr here, tho she seemed hardcore enough! |

Yeah, The Fall were great. That's my fourth time seeing them and it was probably the best. The drums and the bass were really loud but crisp. (if you don't include MES' amp fiddling and microphone experimentation):p |
marks amp fiddling is hilarious. did you notice the only equipment he didnt fiddle with in a destructive way was elenas, the missus!!! she was telling him what to do!!!! christ she is gorgeous in the flesh as well!
