You're going to need a couple of terabytes to capture all that material, and there better be enough memory & cache so that Final Cut can handle that amount of HD footage. Good luck.

we shot in 24p. it would have been suicidal to do it at 1080i.

atsonicpark 07.09.2007 05:10 PM

this excites me to no end.

not being able to be there (i spent the weekend in florida, owning people at puzzle fighter.. whoa!), seeing a DVD of this will be my most wanted item of forever...

the boredoms have never done anything retarded, they somehow make silence a fucking orgasmic experience.. they basically invented their own sound TWICE and even after this long they still continue to be the most influential musicians in my life... i own everything they have done, and if i had more money i'd gladly buy it all and distribute to others to fully understand and recognize the sheer genius of eYe and the gang... and not only are the boredoms amazing, but all their offshoots are phenomenal as well. i always knew boredoms were the most magical band in the history of music, and now i know that this is confirmed. they can do no wrong...

basically, it's like my quote below says.

I know it's not boredoms, but hanatarash released a 7" called "Total Retardation" Amusing, I find

EDIT: Yeah, a dvd would be superb. And I'm wasted so the above has little relevance to anything.

That's great, man......sounds like you'll have tons of different kinds of footage to root through to put something really awesome together. Good call on the lipstick cams too.

Georgekrz 07.10.2007 08:12 AM

to make long story short i got there at 3 pm waited for 3h:45 min and didnt get in. i saw allison from awesome color at 6:30 talking to her friends about 10 feet away from me and she was telling them she could not get them in. it was a tough situation. watched from the brooklyn bridge, it was still awesome.

and btw- im really fucking glad chabib did the video for this. cant wait to see it.

drrrtyboots 07.10.2007 10:28 AM

downloading now

pokkeherrie 07.11.2007 09:39 AM

Not the greatest sound quality indeed, but alright for a 128kb mp3. At least it's the entire thing. Now let's hope the DVD isn't going to take years to finish... speaking of which, I just read this quote on the southern lord board:

"yeah. looks like i'm delivering 20 or so 3-5 minute mini-films first to the boredoms for approval, then to VICE to put on VBS. then in the winter, the boredoms' japanese videographer and i will co-direct a mega-dvd boxset that spans the past 14 years of the boredoms' work which VICE records will sponsor/release. i have some pop tatari era NY performances and seven years worth of seadrum performances around the world (archive spans 14 years) as well as a bunch of the boredoms side projects. jun has lots of their rehearsals and performances in japan--including the super-rare footage of the band recording seadrum with their drum kits set up in the incoming tide on a japanese beach and the show on new years eve of 2000 when, as the clock struck 12, they immediately transitioned in mid performance from a punk noise band into the seadrum project."

atsonicpark 07.11.2007 09:41 AM

holy fucking shit. that's amazing.

hopefully the dvd will also feature omoide hatoba performances too.

atsonicpark 07.11.2007 10:19 AM

hey

this mp3 sounds great!!!!!
