Probably not the ideal place to post this, but what the hell: can anybody send me an "invitation" to join Demonoid? Many thanks in advance.

Some wretched degenerate hacked into the administrator's account, stole the domain and then tried to SELL IT BACK for US$2,500. True story! But fear not, for the site is back at http://www.tradersden.org/ (the definite article "the" has flown the coup).

Rock and roll!

nicfit 04.18.2009 02:29 AM

On a side note, the founders of pirate bay got sentenced 1y + fines, apparently.

stu666 04.18.2009 06:14 AM

I'm still trying to finish the Santiago torrent which was banned from dime, so hopefully the pirate bay will keep going untill i've got it all.

It would be great if someone could put all the Sonic Youth vids together onto one dvd, but i'm not capable of doing this at the moment.

Thanks! I didn't see it the first time.
I'll gladly author it with interactive menus and covers, but unfortunatelly i can say how fast i will be able to do it.

stu666 05.03.2009 12:38 PM

That would be great andrei!

nicfit 05.03.2009 12:42 PM

andrei, which software do you use for that purpose (cut/put together different pieces with no quality loss / adding menus and stuff)?
I'm intersted in "learning" how to do this kind of stuff, but i'm afraid my not so deep knowledge of the matter (video streams in particular) could result in a quality loss comparing results with the source files :(.

Tokolosh 05.03.2009 12:50 PM

I'd do it in a flash, but I don't have a Demonoid account. How did you record them stu?
With a DVD recorder as Video_TS, VHS, what?

It was recorded straight form digital tv > dvd-r, using a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V dvd recorder, then i uploaded the VIDEO_TS folder. If you need a demonoid invite i can provide.

Tokolosh 05.03.2009 01:14 PM

I sent you a pm stu.

Hei Nic, I'm using TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4. It is kinda basic tool for editing (just cuts/fades and some video effects) and authoring but it works pretty good and it is quite easy to use.

nicfit 05.04.2009 06:15 AM

If it has the "ability" to save the edited streams with no quality loss without having to fiddle too much with parameters etc.etc. that sounds like the perfect tool for me he he! I'll search some infos online, thanksss.
