there was just a Specail NBC News Report or something about this British terrorism bust thingy that interrupted the normal broadcast. i was afraid that it was going to cut into SY's performance, but instead, the interview beforehand was all but eliminated. it cut back into it right as Conan exclaimed "Spandex pants?!" which made me laugh.

and yeesh, Kim isn't sounding too good. especially on the "hooome."

You have to be kidding...Sonic Youth has no business being even in a bar full of deaf, drunk heroin addicts. That performance was crappier than even the crappiest high-school garage band. I was watching and thinking...how the heck did they ever approve 'em bein' on Conan...usually Conan hosts some decent bands. My msg to Sonic Youth: :fuckyou:

I told my sister like 3 times to make sure the cable box was on Ch. 12 when she went to bed (cable box has to be on the channel you want to tape and the VCR has to be on CH 3.....you know). "Oh yeah, sure....I won't forget." So I wake up and rewind the tape and it's Project Runway.....not that I don't watch that crap, but still. I never miss taping them....dayum.

I love it how the camera went behind Steve a few times. That was a first on Conan (as far as I know) during a musical performance to get a camera back there behind the drum set.

Lee is usually on it, but he too has his bad days. On the Nurse tour he rarely played Pattern Recognition correctly when coming back from the break.

I just saw this. We left on vacation the day before this aired so I couldn't see it. I agree about Kim being off but it was still good. They all look great. Did you guys see Steve's face at the end when Thurston was doing his noise thing?
