I remember a couple years ago this (IMO) total idiot was talking on a movie forum about how A Clockwork Orange is a piece of art and the rape scenes are beautiful. How is rape beautiful? Taking somebody's pride and dignity just so you can cum and get the feeling you're powerful? I had never met that guy before, never talked to him since, but I absolutely hated his guts with the life of me.

Cannibal Holocaust is a reasonable entertaining, extremely well-made, and hugely effective film. I gotta give it that. It's not really my thing, and it doesn't even come close to being disturbing, or even being amongst the top 10 or so "sickest" films I've ever seen. It's just a decent lil film, not much more, never understood the hype.

Re: A Clockwork Orange, I don't think Kubrick ever filmed anything that wasn't beautiful. Rape itself isn't beautiful but that "Singing in the Rain" scene sure is amazing.
