I've read the whole thread and I think most people who posted on it, save for two, or maybe three, should be stopped from posting on the internet altogether, and being made to drink vinegar that's been sitting on a kitchen shelf for 20 years.

I think a lot of people listen to music on good to bad headphones anyway, that's not a good selling point by any means.

What's a good introduction to shitgaze/no-fi?

I refuse to call any band "Shitgaze".

As far as a relatively newer (past 2000's) awesome band with no production: Coachwhips.

You guys know that "shitgaze" was a joke and not meant to be taken seriously as a genre, right? If you think it's a real subgenre with a certain style of sound, you really need to readjust your music radar to cut out the MTVblog and NME.

Coachwhips? Great live band, but the records will forever stay on the shelves at my house with mere souvenir value. Thee Oh Sees makes Coachwhips totally obsolete.
