Brighten The Corners Deluxe Delayed
October 22nd, 2008 at 3:23 pm by Dean ![]() For those of you taking part in our Brighten The Corners: The Nicene Creedence Buy Early Get Now program, we’ve got a small bit of bad news. Due to delays at the vinyl press, the release date is now pushed back to December 9th. We’re disappointed but know that the unquestionable awesomeness of the entire package will more than make up for the wait. Thanks for your understanding! If you haven’t signed up yet, you now have even more time to DO SO. The first exlusive B-side went live yesterday, and the entire album’s been streaming on the site since the 10th. |

If I'm being honest, the reissues dont do THAT much for me. When I was a younger lad, I spent ridiculous hours listening to all the Pavement albums. I bought all the singles and EP's and even most compilations back then. I tracked down numerous live bootlegs, especially ones with unreleased tracks. Over the years I've sort of just grown into a comfortable place with the albums, and yes, I buy the damn reissues. But I don't spend as much time listening to all the bonus stuff as I do listening the albums proper.
That being said, I will still get this! haha. I mean, "For Sale The Preston School Of Industry"... finally I'll have a good sounding recording! |
PS, I seem to remember I used to have a track on one of my boots that I beleive was called "Jon Spencer Vs Neil Haggerty In A Bar Room Brawl"... anyone remember this/know what the hell I'm talking about?

I fear that the tracklisting has been updated and this particular track is no longer included, I quote, "For Sale: The Preston School of Industry is owned by Dutch station VPRO and they wanted an obscene amount of money for it. We jointly decided with the band that it just didn’t make sense. Sorry guys." http://tinyurl.com/5p3mmx |
