I've always thought of those types of notes as journals. Any kind of personal writing that reflects what has been happening around you or your thoughts, to me, that is a journal. Maybe not the dictionary definition.

yeah, that reminds me, i write little notes to myself all the time and put them in my wallet.. it helps a lot. like if I get a riff in my mind but don't have a guitar near me, I'll write down the riff in tab form...

i was reading the journal i had for like 3 months when i was 15 and it puit a lot of perspective on me, not only how i was back then and what happened afterwards, but also right now.

so from now i'll start one, right shit for like 30 minutes a day.
