Why not make your own conclusion based on your own experience?

That's all I really have to say. Welcome to the board, but hopefully you'll be more open-minded about meeting people than taking another person's word for it.:)

Don't worry khchris, I'm not out to choose friends based on popular opinion. I was simply looking out for the perma-trolls. It doesn't seem like there are any here, at least none I've seen...which is shocking, but encouraging. Seems like a nice community.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome. :D

Thanks & Sonic Life!

edit - I just realized this is probably considered off topic for this section....sorry. :(

Shayna 05.19.2006 10:39 PM

Well, for one I don't find domestic abuse funny.

Neongod 05.20.2006 09:46 PM

That is a pretty fucked up sig, Rhys.

acousticrock87 05.20.2006 09:48 PM

Hah that was pretty direct.

And she created a friendly post introducing herself.

flophousefloozie 05.20.2006 09:57 PM

to be honest, i just like to sit back and observe most contoversial topics on here. To simple minded ones like this i will reply. looking forward to reading some of yours, so have fun

p.s. what are the green blocks for?

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 05.20.2006 10:02 PM

Self-esteem. When people click your little weight thing under your avatar, you get rep points. The blocks give you a rep level.

flophousefloozie 05.20.2006 10:11 PM

alright. the popularity contest is ON.

I'm relatively new here and this place would be a lot better without Hayden Asche and also the "taste police." If you want to fit in with this mostly juvenile crowd you have to believe whatever you think average Sonic Youth fans would stereotypically believe. If you think for yourself, you'll get negative rep points.

Well put, DN. Well put.

acousticrock87 05.21.2006 03:11 AM

Rep points should be the last thing you think about. It's like real life. If you try to get more, you'll either change who you are or be really disappointed.

atsonicpark 05.21.2006 07:46 AM

Who cares.

I dont really care about the Rep points but Ive gotten no negative and a lot of people dont agree with what i say. I think its good to say fuck conform.

alyasa 05.21.2006 10:30 AM

I guess having negative rep points when you've just joined means no one will talk to you, or listen to what you say... You'll become a non-entity, a non-corporate ghost.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 05.21.2006 10:34 AM

they'll warm up.

alyasa 05.21.2006 10:46 AM

Yeah, eventually... Everything's eventual. :)

exactly. daycare only gets negative rep because he makes threads that flat out say "IM RIGHT AND YOURE WRONG" and then makes fun those who disagree. who can blame someone for giving negative rep?

Daycare Nation 05.21.2006 05:31 PM

Hayden is the one who did that. You people ignore it because he's your little friend.

What a terrible terrible response. I'd tell you to be ashamed of your self if I gave a shit.

1. Average Sonic Youth fan? You have very obviously not payed any attention to my posts. I like about 4 Sonic Youth records. How does this translate into me and the "taste police"'s views being that of an average Sonic Youth fan.

2. I'm sure that you are far above this "mostly juvenile crowd" with your terrible opinions on music.

So, let's get this straight. I can't sarcastically say that your opinion is wrong without you putting me on your ignore list BUT you can be a complete tasteless twat who thinks his opinion is fact? I guess it works. Too bad you suck.
