I think the kids have it alright. I've been chatting to someone who's...urr... younger than me on MSN this evening. I sent her some Derek Bailey and some Shuji Inaba. When I was young I didn't have the internet, and there is nearly no way on earth I'd've come across that music when I was that old. The internet generation totally win. Well done kids.

^ why oh why were you chatting up someone a lot younger than you?
i totally agree with that opinion though, internet rules for finding out good music. |
Yeah without the net I'd still be listen' to Foo Fighters.

I shouldn't really dignify this with a response, but nonetheless - I wasn't 'chatting her up', just chatting. She is younger than me, but she's also an adult. I don't particularly have a problem with talking to people younger than me, any more than I do with talking to people twice my age. It's just stuff, innit? Edit: Incidentally, if you are trying to chat someone up on MSN, sending them Derek Bailey records is not terrifically likely to be successful. |

You are still a total twatgob, but that is very true. If everyone stopped worrying about their listening habits and just got on with it, we would live in a better world and one more baloon could be left to fly in the sky, innit? |
If you sent me Derek Bailey records (since I've only heard about 20 things he's been on), I'd love you long time.
|
What have you heard? Solo or group?

you'd let him pee on you? |
if 90% of everything is crap anyways, what does it matter that the "kids" now have access to so much more?
|
Because they're several times more likely to find that elusive 10%?
