i'm a size 4 but i'm also 5'2, so i can be considered "curvy". if a girl is short enough she can be a size 1 or 2 and still look normal.

No offense, but 6-8 is not the 'media slim'. The media slim is much thinner. I am 5'5" (maybe a quarter of an inch shorter, MAYBE) and i usually wear a size 4 or a size 6. Yet, i've been referred to as fat. The media ideal is much more along the lines of a size 2.
