i went through a Riot Grrrrl phase, bought all Holes, babes in toyland's, Bikini Kill's, Bratmobile's, and Sleater-Kinney's albums.

The only one i still really love now is Sleater-Kinney. Hole are okay, babes in toyland are fun, Bikini Kill are angry and Bratmobile are lesbians. But Sleater-Kinney are just great musicians.

i don't really think it does any good because there hasn't been a damn bit of change since we got the right to vote, which was almost 90 years ago. the story's the same, it's just been modernized. gender roles are the same as they've always been and they'll always be this way. i don't think my ideas are "defeatist", i think they're "realistic".

It is true, not that much changed has happen. I still don't get the man hating thing. But I also don't get much of the gays hating the hetero's. Or racists for that matter.

i don't really understand how someone can hate a whole group of people based solely upon bullshit stereotypes which are magnified by the media, particularly in the US. there's no logic behind it. personal vendettas against specific people (regardless of the demographic they belong to) are another matter entirely.
