oh yeah, sorry to inform you she’s already married so it will have to be strictly platonic. but yeah. just found her in a newspaper.

i don’t share her ideology, but she writes very well

Somehow over the last five or so years, based on conversation snippets and the odd extended pm-volley, you’ve come to know me almost eerily well.

You read your own writing? Like... for fun?

jennthebenn 03.01.2018 03:17 PM

No, I read it because I'm writing it. Editing and all that.

Atomic City Girls by Janet Beard. Has a cool title and the synopsis sounded quite interesting. Focusing on the young women, many just out of high school who worked and lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in the same facility where American scientists were constructing the atomic bomb. Its historical fiction, but the book includes many actual photographs from the area. Enjoying it so far.

Just finished The Box Man by Kobo Abe, an extremely weird 1974 novel from Japan. http://rxttbooks.blogspot.com/2018/0...n-my-mind.html

LifeDistortion 03.12.2018 08:17 PM

Reading The Devil in the White City. I haven't heard any updates on the movie that is/was going to be directed by Martin Scorsese.

Viv Albertine's Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys, a really good read, sounding so honest.
