It sucked big time. I regret travelling all the way to Prague and back because of this.

First of all, it was NOT an EN gig. It were only solo performances by Alex Hacke, N.U.Unruh and Jochen Arbeit and the group did not play solo, although it was never written that it would be like that.
Then, at one moment, something was set on fire during the performances and acid smoke started filling the room. Then, panic spread out, everyone started fleeing the room and then they rushed back when the fire was taken care of.
A very weird evening.

we've got this thing called Sundown in the City here in the summer, free shows held outside downtown. I don't think they've got a lineup set yet, but I saw Sleater-Kinney and My Morning Jacket before in the past.

Sundown usually kind of sucks.

Acid Mother's Temple is playing on April 17th. $12. I might go to that.

Saw Asobi Seksu, Cults, and Sun Airway about two weeks ago for a ten spot.

EVOLghost 04.07.2011 06:27 PM

^ha. I thinkn I might go see Cults tonight. though I'm not really a fan. They're ok. But Times New Viking is coming in near future and I'm excited abuot that. I Missed them a few months back; they opened for another band.

EVOLghost 04.07.2011 06:29 PM

Oh and Flaming Lips are also due in a few months. Though i'm not sure if I want to go. I seen them 3 times and it pretty much was the same show all 3 times and Waynes kills 45 minutes with banter. HOWEVER, seems they're doin' Soft bulletin start to finish bla bla. I would like to hear A Spoonful Weighs a Ton live....but. fucking Wayne Coyne talks to much and says the same thing over.

Great to hear that Blues Explosion is still alive! Hope they make new record also! I saw Blues Explosion quite many years ago here in Finland, in Ruisrock-festival. They were great!

hipster_bebop_junkie 04.29.2011 04:01 PM

I'll be seeing Melvins next Tuesday in Mexico City. They were supposed to play here in March, but the show got pulled because Dale Crover's finger got injured while they were stuck in Japan during the earthquake and tsunami. Earth was initially part of the bill, but they're touring in Europe at the moment so a mexican band, Descartes A Kant, has taken their place.

Pic of Dale's finger:

The Earl Of Slander 04.29.2011 04:41 PM

Next Friday I'm seeing Bill Callahan for the first time. So excited it's scary. Oh also, probably Black Star supported by De La Soul and Rakim, which should also blow minds...
