Basically: last night the mod referred to people as crack whores, and I called him out on it - because, y'know, shitty language and that. He and I got in a fight, I got called overly sensitive so I fought back, he threatened to kick me for twelve hours and I told him 'do it'. So he did.

Anyway, this morning I come back. I find that, while I'm gone, he called me a snowflake, consistently misgendered me, and dismissed my whole generation
(even though he's only in his mid 20s IIRC). So I make a comment voicing my displeasure - just listing that, and saying "not sure if I really want to be back". When he wakes up, he bans both me and a friend of mine.

Another mod, who I'm good friends with and privately agrees with me on the initial thing, is trying to sort it out. But it still sucks. :(

Whoa, that sounds like a really toxic environment. Dude's got no business being a mod with a 'tude like that. Yeah, if things don't change, might as well abandon ship and look for greener pastures. Or maybe the other mod gets the upper hand and that guy gets booted out for good.

This after I left the Gr**n D*y server a couple months ago due to mod drama. It sucks.

He's been cool but he's gone on more of a power trip lately. I was the second most active member!

At least NYCgaf16 can keep us posted

Back at real school today.

Bytor Peltor 05.29.2020 09:25 AM

My 17 year old graduates high school today:

This morning I’m with members of our flower shop family delivering ferns and helping set up the venue:

Thx, indeed I am!

The last four years have been one heck of a ride. My mom died, house flooded, we moved to a different city & school district, chemical plant explosion and covid 19......but she has handled it with grace and dignity and thrived under difficult circumstances and I’m very proud of that!

Sounds like she has been raised wonderfully and a credit to you. Congrats both. As a father myself that's all you hope for.

_slavo_ 05.30.2020 02:28 AM

Congrats to your daughter, Bytor!

_tunic_ 05.30.2020 04:02 AM

City of Nederland :D :D :D

On behalf of the country of Nederland I offer you my well meant congratulations to you and your daughter. Too bad for her and her fellow school mates the ceremony has to take place in these circumstances, and no party I suppose

h8kurdt 05.30.2020 12:20 PM

Was this place down for anyone else?

The city scrolled all the graduates Senior pictures on the city hall sign, a welcomed gesture during these unusual days!

No party like we planned to have today, it was going to be a blowout with lots of friends and family! Instead, tomorrow we’re opting for small scale celebration with a few family members......it will be our last crawfish boil of the season!

Last nights graduation went off without hitch. Well, one girl collapsed due to heat exhaustion, but she quickly recovered. As we sat socially distant and watched the kids receive their diplomas with excitement for the future ahead of them, it was eerie to check social media and see all the stories of the protest taking place. For our younger generation, I hope this isn’t the wave of things to come!

Little plug here: Victoria Vincent (aka) Vewn has recently cemented her position as my favorite independent animator. Her latest short called Twins In Paradise is her magnum opus as far as I'm concerned.

You've got that naive, yet vivid and very dynamic style, that is both cutesy and gritty as all can be. Hardly anyone does animation like that anymore. It's like a modern spin on something you'd have seen on MTV's Liquid Television. And then there's the trippy music that perfectly underscores the frantic action on screen. Good, good stuff.

So I went out for a walk in a district I haven't traversed that often 2 days ago and somehow wound up coming home with this baby.

I can't help but fall for the charms of Mid-70s to Early-80s SLRS.
