Yeah how can they destroy such a classic. And remakes most of the times suck.

k-krack 12.11.2006 03:14 PM

Two words, The...Mask.
Worst movie I have ever seen. It's unwatchable in my honest opinion. Jim Carrey is an embarrassment to Canada, aside from Eternal Sunshine.

SynthethicalY 12.11.2006 03:15 PM

What I thought the mask was ok, but to call it the worst.

Tokolosh 12.11.2006 03:18 PM

I was just as upset as this bitch, in The Ring remake.

wait... i thought ace ventura (the first one anyway) was quite funny

SynthethicalY 12.11.2006 03:20 PM

I think all these horror movie remakes from japan are lame. Are Americans out of ideas?

Savage Clone 12.11.2006 03:22 PM

I am just assuming the remake of The Wicker Man was atrocious based on the changes that I read about. I refused to see it on general principle.
Why did they have to fuck with that?

I think they might think we are too stupid to read subtitles.
Gimme the Japanese originals any day.

!@#$%! 12.11.2006 03:24 PM

one remake i DID NOT DARE take a look at was the wonderful "wings of desire" by wim wenders.

apparently some fucks redid it as "city of angels"-- the name alone gives me a slight feeling of diarrhea-- and then...

SynthethicalY 12.11.2006 03:24 PM

I for one don't care about reading the subtitles. I wish we had more foreign movies, instead of the ones nominated for the oscars.

I didn't. I find Carrey to be the most annoying human being I have ever seen.

What a great tagline, hahahah. "She didn't believe in angels...until she fell in love with one."

I know what you mean.

Better_Than_You 12.11.2006 04:54 PM

Oh! I remember the one I forgot.

Red Sonja with Arnold Shwaslkdfjalsdkfjnigger. I was baked out of my mind when I first saw it and even then I couldn't watch the whole thing.

LifeDistortion 12.11.2006 06:36 PM

Beyond Gus Van Sant's atrocious idea of making a remake of "Hitchcock's Psycho" Sant's version was one of the most mis-casted films of all-time. Anne Heche as the Hitch...excuse me Van Sant Blonde?! Are you fucking kidding me?! I don't even want to get started on what I think of Vince Vaughn.

LifeDistortion 12.11.2006 06:45 PM

Speaking of pointless remakes....

Better_Than_You 12.11.2006 07:30 PM

Mark Wahlbergs hawt.

!@#$%! 12.11.2006 07:37 PM

in another atrocious remake, this awesome movie with this beautiful creature

became THIS bland gringo remake

pardon me but can i say "ewwwww"?

or better yet

"quel fucking crap"

Savage Clone 12.11.2006 07:39 PM

Yeah, "Image Not Available" was a shameful waste of celluloid.

Leprechaun 4 in space is pretty bad...as is Leprechaun in the Hood with Ice T.

Troll and Troll 2 are pretty fucking bad too.

But...

The WORST MOVIE ever! Has got to be....

THE SHAFT! (not to be confused with "Shaft")

THE SHAFT is a horror movie about a possessed elevator...and it is damn rad!

I tried to watch the Shaft and I couldn't.

You know, Spartacus isn't that bad if you think of it as a typical movie from that time period and not as a Kubrick film.

well yes i guess i generally hate those types of movies from that period-- such a fucking letdown! i was shocked when the thing finished i ran outside screaming "that can't be kubrick! it can't be!!" --- my sense of reality had been shaken.

later i went online to discover the ugly truth, but ugly as it may have been it preserved my love & respect for the master-- please know i am a very jaded and cynical bastard & to call someone a master i have to really be in awe of the work and feel a sense of gratitude for life-changing art. but anyway...

if you're gonna go for that, then

> spartacus

ha ha ha

Things my old girlfriend would take me to: Forget Paris and 9 Months. Don't think we stayed though either.

the following movie i have not seen, but i can imagine how much they probably suck

Cantankerous 12.12.2006 01:39 AM

the trip - you can't recreate that shit. it's not campy or nostalgic, it's just crap. thanks for playing anyway.

requiem for a dream - they were SO far off the mark with this factually and just in general and jared leto is an annoying little shit. end of.

last days - Hayden might fancy this one, taking into account how far he has his head up his ass and that nirvana tattoo.

donnie darko - being criminally insane, i would really like to take this opportunity to tell richard kelly to just fuck off.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 12.12.2006 01:46 AM

hahah, so true

sonikold 12.12.2006 02:01 AM

dracula 3000 with coolio. so wrong for so many reasons. the first one being- how can there be a planet of fucking vampires?

this plays occasiionally on tv, you need to check it out to understand how bad movies can be.

and DOMINO was terrible, like someone just getting out of film school, landing a major movie deal and putting every single cliched movie trick in it. a zillion camera cuts, lenses & filters. christopher walken and tom waits are in it, and it STILL blows chunks.

oh, and i saw godard's version of king lear with norman mailer and molly ringwald. it was pretty atrocious, definitely shattered my faith in jean-luc.

Dead-Air 12.12.2006 02:06 AM

At the Mouth of Madness by John Carpenter. What the fuck was he thinking??? A total mockery of H. P. Lovecraft, on who it was supposedly based.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 12.12.2006 02:06 AM

yes, domino was TERRIBLE.

never saw dracula 3000 but ive heard stories, hahhaah

OH!
lets not talk shit about godard
capiche?

ALIEN ANAL 12.12.2006 04:29 AM

i think this is turning into 'how alternative can you look by saying you hate said to be generly good movies"

alteredcourse 12.12.2006 04:52 AM

its true that perhaps it wouldnt be quite enough worth mentioning for me to say 2001 if it wasnt so cherished and hyped .
but i really had never squirmed through a movie as much as it , and it does baffle me that so many people think so very highly of it .
you can take that , right ?
