The seller put it up for a minimum bid of 25 dollars. The fact that this seller was able to make a chance find of this magnitude and was subsequently able to capitalize on it in the most fair and open way available is no more worthy of criticizing than someone who is able to buy a house or a car for way below the going rate and is able to turn that around for some profit. Jesus fucking christ. Besides which, this will inevitably see release of some kind. That is something I am sure of. |

I bet you're right. I never thought of that. I feel so ashamed of myself right now. |

Sure, maybe you see it that way, but you're not a closet Communist, anti-capitalistic pinko like me. And don't try to drag Christianity or any other opiate-for-the-masses religion into this! |
It may surprise you to know that I am.
I just see no difference between this and selling any other record. The guy simply got a great find for very cheap. This is the society and system we live in, and this person got lucky. That's all. |

Turn in your party card, comrad! Or should I say EX-comrad!? |

Sorry. |
Because I recognize the system we live in, and the need to survive within that system for the forseeable future despite what my purest ideals in my heart of hearts may be?
Whatever. |

Me too. Which is why I hate record collectors in general. |
Fucking morons. I'd never pay 75 cents for a VU album.

Yeah. Even though I don't even know how to pronounce xiu xiu.

Shoo Shoo is how most people say it.
The band themselves have ony ever objected to "zoo zoo" because "it sounds like a bad hair-metal band." Other than that, it seems to be open to interpretation. |
damnit. I can;t wait to hopefully hear these... the worst thing would be if some prick bought ti and then kept it to himself.

I cant stand the sound of the velvet underground. Although i might pay 75 cents (which i think translates to 50p) for a vynil album. |
It's the auction with the highest bidding I have ever seen for a record ... by far! I think I saw somebody wanting USD 5000 for a beatles 7" on green vinyl (i think it was norwegian wood), but if memory serves me right, nobody had bidden. USD 50000 now! Fuck!
|
|
Surely these bids can't be serious!
|
I don't need it. I got the bootleg on my computer. A lot of the songs are actually better on it than the official album.

Any chance of upping it? Are you on slsk? |

Also, that site has two different download links. One is in the comments section.
|
I'm gonna download it, then pay for some pressings on vinyl and handwrite the labels, and sell it on e-bay as a mint condition copy.

Massive amounts of rep are due, so please dig deep, people. Hmmm...Joy Division Peel Sessions as well; this is the gift that keeps giving. It took a day for anyone to reply to this? |

Sounds like my friend's late father. I knew this guy who had his dad staying with him. His father was an alcoholic with not long to live. His skin hadn't started to turn green or yellow yet or anything, but he could not eat solid food. All he consumed was a 1.75 ml bottle of cheap bourbon per day. He would stay on the futon for days without even getting up to have to use th bathroom and was usually sleeping. In his sleep or twilight stage before or after sleep (I don't really know), he would often repeat phrases and curses. It wasn't like he had Tourette's SYndrome. He didn't have the energy for that. Mostly he would just repeat "no" over and over. |

That update was going to be my next post until I paused to answer the cantankerous cranky one. |
Wow, almost 116 thousand now and still going.
How high is this thing gonna go? |
