The show in Antwerp was really good. Thurston started out alone with a knife (on his gtr) while John Moloney went to get a new guitar string. Thurston put the guitarstring on as he was making some glorious feedback. Once his guitar was fully equipped they just jumped into a high energy twenty minute set.
After that Thurston did an encore on acoustic guitar, John on drums again. This set reminded me a bit more of his improvistional work of the nineties. Really good. Total gig about half an hour. I really like sets that dont tend to go too stretched out. I videotaped as good as I could. I will have some stuff up soon. |
