Thurston’s stopped by MPR for a UBS stream session Monday, July 18 at 2pm.[/quote]

their site says: RSVP on Facebook

Other than informing the Intelligence Agencies about your interests, why the fuck would you RSVP on facebook to listen to a stream? Was anyon ehere stupid enough to do so?.

Bump.

Review (in Spanish) and a few pictures of Thurston Moore's performance at Teatro Oriente in Santiago de Chile, on April 15th. He dedicated "Fri/End" to Felipe Orrego (author of that beautiful, untitled silent short film starring Kim Gordon, from 1976), and said "We need to re-write the books: We could said that Sonic Youth is actually an extension of Chilean psychedelic music". Seems like it was another show of candid bits of stories as introductions to the songs (unlike in Mexico City) and good vibes despite the fact that Thurston's got the flu. The Rolling Stones' "It's Only Rock'n'Roll (But I Like It)" was performed again, and "Psychic Hearts" made its comeback into the set as the final encore, and I hope it will very much stay (and of course, why would it matter so much if no recordings would surface, right?).

Set-list:

1. Blood Never Lies
2. In Silver Rain With A Paper Key
3. Never Day
4. Fri/End
5. Orchard Street
6. Groovy & Linda
7. It's Only Rock'n'Roll (But I Like It)
8. Ono Soul
9. See-Through Playmate
10.Mina Loy
11.Circulation
12.Pretty Bad
13.Staring Statues
14.Psychic Hearts

stupid assed Belgians.
They put Thurston first on the bill tonight, before Gavin Friday. Yet still GF is the main act....:
19u30 Dans Dans
20u15 Thurston Moore

22u00 Gavin Friday
(source)

Oh well, hope the thunderstorms won't start until after 22PM

I think it would only be poetic justice if a torrential downpour starts right after Thurston leaves the stage.

_tunic_ 08.01.2012 05:49 PM

there wasn't any rain, only a small drizzle during the support and half a song during Thurston's set. Now it's raining and thundering, I live about an hour north east from Antwerp.
Liked the new songs a lot. And recording will be shared soonish.

Great night and the new songs really ROCK live!

emmanuel 08.02.2012 10:15 AM

and i am covering Luxembourg (taped) and Stuttgart (tonight).

Luxembourg was about 95 minutes, including four new rock songs (Thurston gave the song titles), and otherwise acoustic/semi-electric songs played regularly last year.
