i'll probably give the vinegar adventure a try at atp tough.

Disgruntled Youth 07.27.2006 10:45 AM

Try Cape Cod the best crisps ever, sea salt & vinegar yum!!!!

Toilet & Bowels 07.27.2006 11:05 AM

kebabs are awesome, but chips are the classic choice, they're like the white t-shirt and jeans of post-pub feed

porkmarras 07.27.2006 11:05 AM

Salt & Vinegar crisps are the work of the devil.Only dissatisfied people or those who lack a sexual life eat them. It's been proved true by quite a few scientists.

Kebabs round your house are mostly poisonous affairs bar for the one near the Joiners.

nomadicfollower 07.27.2006 11:09 AM

For some utterly bizarre reason I'm not familiar with any UK brands of 'crisps'..

porkmarras 07.27.2006 11:11 AM

But the vietnamese restaurants there are ace!

Iain 07.27.2006 11:14 AM

Salt and Vinegar crisps are indeed nasty but salt and vinegar on fish and chips is heavenly!

porkmarras 07.27.2006 11:15 AM

Vinegar and all its variants are disgusting.

Toilet & Bowels 07.27.2006 11:17 AM

cay tree on old street is the only one of the vietnamese places i've tried, but it's great. anyway, kebab zero next to browns does excellent kebabs, i haven't tried that place opposite the joiners. bang, next door to jaguar shoes, is also great.

jon boy 07.27.2006 11:19 AM

egg butty would go down a storm right now.

Walkers are Lays everywhere else.

I pick Walkers. They make those Lime and Thai Spice ones, don't they? Their brand of mango chutney is great as well.

porkmarras 07.27.2006 11:21 AM

There's a really cheap vietnamese restaurant when you walk past the bridge on Kingsland rd.Do you know the one?Best prawn soup that i've had in my entire life.

Iain 07.27.2006 11:21 AM

I fancy a nice kebab now actually. There is a pretty ace kebab shop about 20 minutes walk from my house. Always worth the trek for a Troys!

jon boy 07.27.2006 11:21 AM

do americans cook? i mean i was speaking to one the other day who said that they never do. i have to say when i was there all the food was pre packaged or fried in about three gallons of grease.

jon boy 07.27.2006 11:23 AM

kebabs are the work of satan. it looks like an elephants leg revolving around there. proven that it makes you impotent. there is no actual evidence for it but it is a scientific fact.

A kebab can be so much more than a Lamb doner. There's this one which is slices of aubergine with discs of minced lamb between them. It's amazing.

12 years.Actually the food in london is pretty good because you can mix and match stuff and therefore create your own diet.My hatred of salt and vinegar crisps spawns from the fact that i just can't stand the smell of vinegar full stop.I'd advise anyone with a beating heart to try good Thai and Mongolian food.

Iain 07.27.2006 11:29 AM

There are no Mongolian restaurants around here let alone good ones.

porkmarras 07.27.2006 11:33 AM

I lived with a swedish guy, once, who ate only popcorn. We had many a booze and popcorn fuelled dinners together.

pokkeherrie 07.27.2006 11:33 AM

If it hasn't been closed down there is one in Covent Garden that is great! All the food was placed on a long tressle table and you could bring your own booze too.I'm a fan of exotic cousine because being italian i turned into thinking that both Italy and France can fuck off with their boasting of having the best food in the world and all that crap.

do golden wonder even make normal crisps anymore?

THey do indeed, the same lovely taste as always. They do a low fat version. The Golden Wonder cheese and onion crisp is something special, in my opinion.

They do all sorts of things, don't they? I fail to see, though, why sour cream and sweet pepper flavour can't be suitable for vegetarians. Grr....

My memory is not so good these days. Was it Smiths as made Monster Munch? I was properly pissed off when the fucked over the flavours, fucking dongbags.

I don't get how people want to bitch about us having 'weird' words, when we clearly invented the language. That's the language in which it makes much more sense to call chips chips and crisps crisps.

The guy who runs the Freedom From label (bloodface on this board) is a total gourmet cooking phenom, seriously. His kitchen could be in a magazine.
