got the CIS and EVOL reissues (no bubblegum! will check if there is a locked groove) and a bunch of other stuff. record store day fucking rocks. great atmosphere all around.

Apparently the US isn't getting the Vivian Girls 7" which bums me out.

got to be 30 plus years since I bought any vinyl. Lost my collection when my cellar flooded while I was away on vacation. 1200 albums they gave me 3 bucks a piece for them. Yes I cried....

no confusion is sex or EVOL at my record store but there were tons of Hits are for square LPs in stock

that was liek the first store I went to. I ended up goin' to 5 stores until finally finding EVOL. Listening to it right now. I also picked up CIS...

Good haul guys. I unfortunately didn't see the SY stuff anywhere.... Guess it was a quick sell-out. Both record stores I went to were packed, but as SuperCreep mentioned great atmospheres, I'm glad to see in this age of digital music both this year and last year had great turn outs. Still got some good stuff which I'm quite pleased with.

All in all a great record store day if I do say so myself.

None of the Canadian stores I talked to got either re-issue (just Hits)... a friend of mine does ordering for an out-of-town store and said he was told they weren't ready... but the fact that some of you got them disproves that. Hopefully they'll show up soon anyways... Hrm.

Plato in Leiden (Dutchland) still had one copy left of Hits Are For Squares, and I have time (Monday or Tuesday) to pick it up for a fellow boardie.

Well spotted :) It's a vinyl reissue of the Mogwai/Fuck Buttons tour split from a couple of years back.

About £8, I think. Not sure if was UK only, could well be. The list I've got says there were 500 pressed. Glad I never splashed the £30+ for a CD version now :)

bought Nick Cave's Mercy Seat 12" on white vinyl instead.

I got nothing at Record Store Day. The Mayor of London decided to send me a £60 fine the day before because I strayed 100 yards into his congestion charging zone a few weeks ago, and so I've had to lock the wallet shut for a bit.

i gave in and ordered these from ebay, as soon as i get them (volcanic ash cloud permiting) i will post pictures

Does anyone else's copy of the new EVOL record give you a little scratch sound during the lock-out groove? The record sounds great but when it hits the locked groove, I get a little record scratch sound so that it sounds like the record is skipping rather than looping. I just want to know if anyone else is hearing this because I may just need to adjust my tonearm or something. Also, the clear sleeve that the pink record comes in is also tinted a very slight pink, I thought that was a nice touch.

Was the Vivian Girls 7" a RSD release? I saw a bunch of those, but passed because I thought it was just a new release and I was running low on cash. I'll pick it up soon though. I can probably pick up an extra if anyone needs a copy.

Did anyone come up with an extra Wooden Shjips RSD 7"? I'd love to get one but it was UK only. I can probably find a copy of the US only Moon Duo RSD 7" for trade or if you are just looking for a copy. If anyone has the Wooden Shjips record please let me know. Thanks!
