Thanks for posting. This was broadcast in the middle of the night in the UK
Sounds great. New songs sound excellent live especially Kim's. I really don't understand the 'fans' who have been giving the eternal awful reviews on this site. Hope SY come to the UK this year for some live dates |

what does "xtra donk" next to Xpressway means?(on the set list)
|
I guess it's the infamous skronk.
|
that's what i thought.
|
ha ha, cracks me up reading through the instruments for each member and getting to mark's column:
bass bass bass bass bass bass bass bass bass bass bass bass If they had a roadie to take care of each member's equip that guy is the luckiest one of the lot hah a. edit: why those 2 blank spots for mr T? same guitar for 3 songs straight? uh, nouh, 2 "wood" before, so if this was the reason we'd have a wood (ha hahahah I feel ill today) and 3 blanks after that... |

check wfmu's blog regularly, they generally have tons of sets up for download. I'm sure some of these will end up on there. And yes, they are the best radio station in the world. |
Thanks reginald!
|
awesome!!!!
|
For other sets, keep checking this page, as they generally leave a stream of what's been broadcasted: http://wfmu.org/playlists/SZ

wow kim's using a shitload of new tunings on this record!
i like that lee is writing songs in the 'schizophrenia' tuning for the first time since 'sister'. |
They didn't broadcast Neil Young's set, right? I think I remember them saying they didn't.

Great Talking at the start... "Where's a Mark? A here is Lee.... Thurston" :) Which band played before SY? |
Quote:
why? Neil Young played before Sonic Youth, I mean if we're talking about main stage. Liars played just before Sonic Youth, but on the ATP stage (different spot) and Deerhunter on Pitchfork stage. |
my rec. is up on Dime now.
|
cheers!
|

hey, sy sound better than when they played here in South America months ago...and the Eternal songs sound better than the studio versions also...:) |
did you listen to my recording? did you like it? I just wonder, coz it was bit packed in front rows and messy, also it was outdoor so...
|
Yes i've listened Richard and thankyou again! i thought it sounded very good for an outside festival recording, the only problem i had was a couple of really loud buzzing/crackling sounds but these didn't put me off listening to the whole thing infact i'm listening again now. :)
