No. People who disagree have no worth. Opinions are overrated. Conform.

Breakfast Club...my all-time favorite movie and Don't You Forget about Me, my all-time favorite song. That dancing scene is the greatest dancing ever filmed...Busby Berkley eat your heart right out.

"Oh so I'm a fucking idiot because I can't make a lamp?"
"No, you're a genius because you can't make a lamp."

I have to say I really liked this movie. It is one of my favorites.

candymoan 05.22.2006 04:49 AM

i finally got a copy of it recently, and i'm waiting for the right moment to watch it.. my wife hasn't seen it, and i want to make the breakfast club an experience for us..

it may look like an overhyped 80s kid flick, but it was an accidental masterpiece.. unintentionally great characters that you could relate to..

perhaps one just has to be from that period to see through the bizarre hairdos and wierd fashion..

great movie..

jon boy 05.22.2006 09:28 AM

the breakfast club has its moments but i like weird science more at the moment.

its only because of the tacky ending and that pot smoking bit.

alyasa 05.22.2006 10:18 AM

Actually the scene in Some Kind Of Wonderful; when Eric Stoltz kisses Mary Stuart Masterson; that has to be one of the defining moments of 80s cinema... Pure beauty... And Jesus And Mary Chain are on the soundtrack... :)

h8kurdt 05.22.2006 10:31 AM

I picked this movie up t'other day in HMV and I was gonna buy it. Wish I did now it sounds great.

The 80's? everything sucked except the underground scene. Surely everyone knows that?

jon boy 05.22.2006 10:33 AM

speaking of 80's movies. i know this will shock. i have never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off .

h8kurdt 05.22.2006 10:36 AM

*shakes head*

jon boy 05.22.2006 10:44 AM

i tried to warn you! ok so i am going to see this film but its never on the telly. plus my upbringing was painfully strict so i never got the chance. occasionaly they have it on at a cinema near me so there is still hope.

h8kurdt 05.22.2006 10:46 AM

Couldn't you just go and get it on video or dvd for a coupla quid?

jon boy 05.22.2006 10:50 AM

probably. probably will too.

h8kurdt 05.22.2006 10:53 AM

fine, you do that.:p

Everyneurotic 05.22.2006 11:08 AM

There were only like five people who weren't white in my whole high school in the 1980's.

Daycare Nation 05.22.2006 06:59 PM

Oh yeah, I like that glove.

I love the Breakfast club, such a good movie.

acousticrock87 05.22.2006 07:07 PM

Best movie from the 80's, though: Evil Dead. Worst effects ever. Horrible acting. Terrible writing. Scary as hell. It was magestic.

nomadicfollower 05.22.2006 07:09 PM

It gave me a headache.

jon boy 05.29.2006 09:19 AM
