You know what? Shut the fuck up. This thread is for people that want SYR7 on CD, we already have had a lot of talking about CD vs Vinyl lately so there's no need to come back again and repeat again this statement. I do not get angry easily but this vinyl thing really begins to get on my nerve. Does anybody came to say "Screw those old vinyls, put SYR 6 on CD only"? No, so please let us hope for a CD release that won't get out anyway, and go back to your turntable.

Why does this get on your nerves? Just get a turntable, they are cheap to buy and easy to use. Or don't, but why get so excited about it? If you don't want records then don't by them. Just ignore the 100 years worth of music crated before CDs were invented and pretend they dident happen. It's not a big deal, no one has time to listen to everything; Just dont worry about vinyl only releases, or buy a turntable. No big deal. Everyone is happy. Peace reigns.

The thing that gets on my nerve is people coming just to say that CDs are shit. I'm sorry, maybe vinyls are better, but CDs still are quality stuff. And I don't want to buy a turntable just for SYR 7. For the moment, that's the only record I want that's only going to be released on vinyl, so I won't buy a turntable just for it. But I would still want to listen to it, so I'd be glad if it came out in CD, which is actually the topic of this thread.

vinyl is shit, cds are shit, mp3 are for loosers, flac is bright pink, fuck you all format junkies!! this is bollocks.,.... i want syr7 on cd because i have the others on cd. they all look cool as one package. my biggest disappointment so far in the series is the photo on the syr6 cover, it didnt fit in with the other releases. now the 7th installment is on vinyl only???? taklk about fucking with a collection of gems. why bother doing this if it is only gonna screw up someones collection. i am a bit peeved over this but i will end up buying it on vinyl anyway because i have the ability to play vinyl.

format junkies are stupid. its 2008, cdphobia and vinylecclectisim is sooooo 1999 yknow! if sy had any sense they would release it on cd anyway after a period of time, in fact id like to wager a bet that that will happen anyway!

this is not up to us to choose... it's up to the band, it's up to them to choose to fit a musical piece in a determined context and all that it implies, artwork, technical aspects etc...

this time if they choose vinyl, instead of complaining about it, deal with it, try to understand why they did so.

yknow i thought the very same ranaldonecro when i heard of this at first.

i love all the formats if it's a chance for listening new sonic stuff. but i prefer the cd: it's a perfect approach/mix between the magic matheria art of the LP, the perfect digital sound, and the comfort of the abstract mp3.

you know something? now that i think about it. i've never heard an album on vinyl that i didn't like and then listened to it on cd and finally liked it; but i have heard stuff on cd and hated it, then listened to on vinyl and really liked it (like sunn o)))'s black one, boring on cd, brilliant on vinyl...boris' pink also comes to mind).

Either way, it's not like the SYR's are as great as they were back in the day when we were all sending our money to smellslike and not being able to wait to check out these new Sonic experimental jams!! Back then there were only a few Thurston and Lee solo cd's and Free Kitten....that was it!! SYR's were much more exciting back then. Now they have a ton of different side projects and releases. I mean, I'm honestly more excited about hearing the new Bark Haze than SYR7. Anybody else feel that way?

Not really. I'm always more excited about group stuff than side stuff.
